Draught at Hoo Ha Bar, Southbank, Brisbane. Poured a cloudy yellow amber with a one-to two-finger bright white foamy head that hung around for ages and laced OK. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma of slightly sweet citrus, grass and spices. Taste of slightly sour citrus, yeast, spices; alcohol well hidden. Light body. Smooth with sweetness and spices on the finish. A little late than never so into a chalice it goes. Looks the goods; Billowing plume of white atop a hazy, sunny gold body. Very fine, very intermittent carbonation rise slowly to atmosphere. Head needs to be chewed off and manages a thick Belgian lace. Nose has a hint of berry bubblegum and pear drops over notes of grapefruit and orange pulp, mango, pine resin and spicy alcohol. From the plump aroma it is actually quite soft on the palate, dry and light. The carbonation prickly to make it bounce with gusto. The finish is bitter, herbaceous and long with a dose of alcohol warmth and spice. Green peppercorn taste on the palate amongst a juicy white wine tang that lingers. It is the brash hops that dominate, though, and are a little on the abrasive side. Overall I’m impressed with the aroma but the fierce hopping prohibits much of that hitting the olfactories on the way through. Not bad considering it is a few months over the due! 22 ounce bottle from Royal Liquor Mart in Rockford, IL, served in a Duvel glass. IPA-Saison, eh? Well...pours an immense fine-bubbled gout of foam, filling the glass, leaving big clumps as it recedes over the slightly hazy golden body...first whiff of the aroma is all saison, with tarragon, mint and especially rosemary and a moderate dry grassiness; on further nosings, wet dank hops show up and nearly cover all, not really unpleasant but odd and certainly seeming more IPA than Belgian farmhouse...on the tongue, an old, crystallized honey sweetness struggles against a fairly aggressive bitterness, winning out to some extent in the end but leaving little in the way of malty character or much of that dry grassy rustic loveliness that makes a saison...well, a saison...fairly thin on the finish, carbonation weak for (either) style. This didn’t really work for me but to be fair it may well have been an old bottle - this liquor store isn’t that reliable. A fair "pop" when opened though. I dunno. Pale gold with a nice thick white head. Grassy, tropical fruits, funky aromas. Taste is slightly sour, good bitterness, winey, spice, yeasty funk. It’s a good one

Pours yellow with a decent white head. Plenty going on in the nose and in the palate - tropical and citrus hop presence, yeast and some funk strains, slightly earthy or grassy, some spice. It’s quite bitter and a little booze comes through, and it dominates the tail of a mouthful, detracting slightly. Pours hazy yellowish with a small white head. Aroma of spices, fruits, yeast, citrus and lemon. Taste is yeasty, spicy and ripe fruity with some lemon and citrus. Finish is sweetish, spicy and yeasty with some stuffy notes and lemon. Okay.

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Very crisp lemony aroma, loads of grapefruits and grass, some hops. Lemony flavor, some toffee sweetness, spices and yeast. A bit sweet, otherwise refreshing and crisp.
