COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ok, the concept for this beer is quite simple. Take our standard Bling IPA and pimp it to create a hop bomb at around 8.5% alc. The real challenge was creating an Imperial IPA that reeks of fresh, pungent hop aromas but doesn’t give the impression that it is trying to tear the teeth out of your jawbone. We do hope we got it right!

Big hop flavors, citrus, tropical fruit on top of a velvety sweet malt base that keep everything well balanced. Little dangerous at 8.5% and being so smooth and easy to drink.

Solid amber taste with a hoppy but not too bitter finish. Attractive beer but head could be better. Drunk at home with dip and crackers ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma - toffee caramel passion fruit orange, citrusy notes. Very promising. So complex, the head not great but pretty good. Appearance - dark amber cloudy with some carbonation. Taste - sweetness a bit heavy, bitternesscones through after and balances it. Almost salty caramel feel... but with a bitter slsp in the end. This is outstanding beer, the only doenside is the alcohol and sweetness but they needed it to balance it out. Beer heaven for me, a hop bomb for sure!

One of the better Aussie IPA’s. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit and caramel as well as very faint pine. Taste is caramel, pineapple and passion fruit. Some notes of pine and grapefruit coming through too. Proper bitter finish from the fresh hops. Very drinkable.

330ml bottle, bottled 7 Oct 16. Hazy amber with nice beige head. Aromas of caramel, pineapple, tangerine citrus, passionfruit, pine, a little cattiness. Taste has a strong caramel and toasty malt backbone, with grapefruit, passionfruit, pine, mango, pineapple. Bitterness is a bit harsh, some alcohol evident. Medium bodied, acidic tang. Not bad but I much prefer a big hoppy IPA or DIPA without the harsh bitterness.

Bottle @cgarvieuk. Speedway tasting (Dec 2015) [Rating Backlog] Pours amber, ever-so-slightly off white head. Nose is caramel, toffee, slight peach, sweet. Taste is more of the same, way too sweet for me even with the slightly bitter aftertaste.

mcberko (18434) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 7, 2016
On tap at the Local Taphouse Sydney, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops and caramel malt. Flavour is a good mix of resinous hops and caramel malt. Balanced well, with a good caramel and resinous finish. Excellent.

floydian1 (1477) - FNQ, Australia, - FEB 7, 2016
One of the best Aussie DIPAs around with plenty of fresh hops on the nose and tongue (tropical fruits, oranges, grapefruits, pine resin) but superbly balanced by a robust caramel malt bill. Palate is oily and medium bodied with a substantially bitter fresh green hop finish and amazing drinkability for an ABV of 8.5%. it has less of the pine resin notes than Riverside Brewing’s 777 which this beer rivals. From a 330ml bottle (bottled on 5/1/16) it pours clear deep amber with a persistent dense foamy white head.

danlo (3141) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2015
330ml bottle from Beer Cartel, Sydney. Deep orangey brown amber colour, tan foam head leaving lacing and aroma of caramel & fruity orange hoppiness. Taste is malt, caramel, toffee with peach, mango, grapefruit & pine, and hop resin bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle at Craigs. Pours murky orange gold with a thin white head. Aromas of peach and toffee. Taste is sweet, sticky finish.
