COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big chocolate, roasted and mocha notes are the key to this style. A wise country football coach once said “theres no point half doing something”. And in making this porter we’ve taken his advice on board, our Robust Porter uses plenty of roast barley and chocolate malt to give you a big porter that wont leave you asking for more.

Try this one with dark chocolate and liquorice. Bridge Roads Porter, like many of its beers, pulls no punches. Make no mistake, the Robust Porter is big and bold, yet its smooth raosty texture makes it one to convert the non-dark drinker. Match it with rich chocolate deserts, cold winter nights or freshly shucked oysters.

Just one of those beers where there's no "too many". For me, works brilliantly with a slow cooked beef rib and Friday night footy.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2017 Good Porter. Aromas of chocolate nutty cocoa and roast. Taste is the same and lends itself to a very drinkable. Little bit heavy on the chocolate but sometimes that's what your quenching so fits the bill perfectly

330ml bottle. Pours a ink black with a thin beige head, that dissipates quickly. Aroma: roasted malt, liquorice, maple, raisin notes. Taste: Roasted malt, bitter cocoa, very mid raisins, mild vanilla. Basic flavour palate, but works well. Thin body. Moderate carbonation. A bit watery. Mildly bitter at the backend of the palate. A good standard porter, nothing amazing, but very good for a standard porter.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Brownish black with tan head. Lots of roasted malt, burnt bitter coffee flavour with a bit of ash, some mild chocolate, lighter body though.

A fine porter being big on the sweet chocolatey roasty malts with hints of dark berries, nuts and coffeebeans. A mild earthy dry hop bitterness at the finish. Lovely smooth flattish palate of light-medium body. Pours opaque dark brown with a dense tan head showing good duration and lace. (330ml bottle).

On the hand pump at the Keg & Brew at Surry Hills. Pours a chocolate brown colour with a light tan-coloured head. The aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, as is the flavour, with some residual sweetness. Overall, a reasonably good quality beer.
