Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a dark brown with a vague reddish tint. Sweet roasty nose, some overripe dark fruits. Medium body, carbonation is a little excessive. Subtle roast in the overripe dark fruit kinda way. Subdued bitterness. Easy. 131112

Black/dark brown colour with a thin tan head. Aroma of smoke, coffee, dark chocolate and burnt toast. Taste similar to aroma with a bitter chocolate/espresso finish.

Hobbit Tasting. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is chocolate, some ripe fruits, mild roasted and ashy notes with some slight liquorice too. Flavour is roasted and ashy with some ripe fruits, mild wood as well as some slight toasted notes.
A fine porter being big on the sweet chocolatey roasty malts with hints of dark berries, nuts and coffeebeans. A mild earthy dry hop bitterness at the finish. Lovely smooth flattish palate of light-medium body. Pours opaque dark brown with a dense tan head showing good duration and lace. (330ml bottle).

Poured an opaque black with a very slight mahogany edge tint and a one- to two- finger light tan dense foam head that retained very well but laced poorly. Aroma of light coffee, sweetness, vanilla and dark earthy malt. taste initially of strongly roasted coffee that subsides plus caramel sweetness and vanilla with a low bitterness. Aroma. smells of roasted malt backed by a nice smokiness and slight syrupy sweetness.
Taste. a nice smokiness is there throughout, and what i can best describe as a roasted cocoa and roasted malts in general.
Overall. nothing too special, but still drinkable.
