COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big chocolate, roasted and mocha notes are the key to this style. A wise country football coach once said “theres no point half doing something”. And in making this porter we’ve taken his advice on board, our Robust Porter uses plenty of roast barley and chocolate malt to give you a big porter that wont leave you asking for more.

Try this one with dark chocolate and liquorice. Bridge Roads Porter, like many of its beers, pulls no punches. Make no mistake, the Robust Porter is big and bold, yet its smooth raosty texture makes it one to convert the non-dark drinker. Match it with rich chocolate deserts, cold winter nights or freshly shucked oysters.

Smells like wet dog(most likely bad glass). Black with off-white head. Taste like a coffee porter watered out with sodawater. Thin.

A fine porter being big on the sweet chocolatey roasty malts with hints of dark berries, nuts and coffeebeans. A mild earthy dry hop bitterness at the finish. Lovely smooth flattish palate of light-medium body. Pours opaque dark brown with a dense tan head showing good duration and lace. (330ml bottle).

On the hand pump at the Keg & Brew at Surry Hills. Pours a chocolate brown colour with a light tan-coloured head. The aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, as is the flavour, with some residual sweetness. Overall, a reasonably good quality beer.

KeefOz (1838) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - JUN 10, 2016
Poured an opaque black with a very slight mahogany edge tint and a one- to two- finger light tan dense foam head that retained very well but laced poorly. Aroma of light coffee, sweetness, vanilla and dark earthy malt. taste initially of strongly roasted coffee that subsides plus caramel sweetness and vanilla with a low bitterness. Medium body, a bit thin for a stout. Smooth but not so creamy (quite a fizzy mouthfeel for a stout) and with sweet vanilla on the finish. Nice.

Mjollnir (404) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JAN 27, 2016
Bottle. Pours opaque brown-black with a thin tan head. Strong chocolaty aroma with a hint of coffee. Mild bitterness, low sweetness, a little roast and some acidity. Medium body, soft carbonation with a long finish.

Kurtos (200) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 21, 2015
Bottle. Pours a dark black colour Aroma. smells of roasted malt backed by a nice smokiness and slight syrupy sweetness. Taste. a nice smokiness is there throughout, and what i can best describe as a roasted cocoa and roasted malts in general. Overall. nothing too special, but still drinkable.
