Best Australian IPA /IIPA you can get. Huge flavour and perfectly balanced. Nice malt backbone supports a hop onslaught of stone fruit, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, mango and slight hit of pine resin. Drinks very easy for the ABV. Easily as good as the most acclaimed New Zealand and American IPA’s whilst still tasting unique to Australia. If you see it, get it. vinhol (346) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 19, 2015
330 mil bottle from Low Buy Lilydale big hoppy aroma amber in colour with white head taste is the same with bitter finish Muggus69 (2807) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - FEB 20, 2015
330mL bottle from Beer Cartel
Presents a murky amber body with small tight foam.
BOOM! Serious hop nose on this one; lychee, passionfruit, honeydew, grass, leafy resin, citrus rind. Theres some toasty, honeyed malt in amongst the maelstrom, but HOPS
Body is full, perhaps not as much as expected, but long and oily on the palate.
The assault continues on the palate, perhaps a touch restrained but still intense; resin, melon, unripe passionfruit & guava, citrus & pine, with sweet biscuity, honeyed, slightly raisiny malts. Big resiny bitterness lingers on a warming finish.
Serious stuff, one for the hop lovers for sure!

A decent imperial with not quite enough oomph to rank among the top grade. Deep bronze with a thick head. Classic IPA aroma - toffee malts, ripe fruits. Figs, mango, fruit cordial. Slick body. Ripe and rounded on the tongue. Clean, piney finish. Quite drying. I’m not sure why but this didn’t ring my bell. (330ml bottle from Leura Cellars) beer-yum (1951) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 11, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2015 Alluring aroma is backed up by a full bodied flavour and nicely balanced bitter finish. A standout beer in one tasting session but subsequently easily surpassed by the local contender (Panhead Vandal).
