Bottle from Archive. Big and ballsy this beer ticks all the boxes from the great looking amber colour and deep head to the awesome hop packed flavour. floydian1 (1464) - FNQ, Australia, - FEB 7, 2016
One of the best Aussie DIPAs around with plenty of fresh hops on the nose and tongue (tropical fruits, oranges, grapefruits, pine resin) but superbly balanced by a robust caramel malt bill. Palate is oily and medium bodied with a substantially bitter fresh green hop finish and amazing drinkability for an ABV of 8.5%. it has less of the pine resin notes than Riverside Brewing’s 777 which this beer rivals. From a 330ml bottle (bottled on 5/1/16) it pours clear deep amber with a persistent dense foamy white head. Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 29, 2013
Big hop flavors, citrus, tropical fruit on top of a velvety sweet malt base that keep everything well balanced. Little dangerous at 8.5% and being so smooth and easy to drink. sinkas (293) - Perth/Fremantle, AUSTRALIA - JUL 2, 2013

citrusy, spicy and tropical aromas,
similar flavours, well attenuated but with enough malty goodness to make it quaffable in winter,
bloody good! Soupoftoday (75) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 4, 2015
Best Australian IPA /IIPA you can get. Huge flavour and perfectly balanced. Nice malt backbone supports a hop onslaught of stone fruit, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, mango and slight hit of pine resin. Drinks very easy for the ABV. Easily as good as the most acclaimed New Zealand and American IPA’s whilst still tasting unique to Australia. If you see it, get it.

330mL bottle. Pours deep amber with a small off white head and a wonderful sweet tropical fruit/punch bowl aroma. As it hits the tongue I detect the massive bitterness that is tempered by an equally scaled sweetness. Tropical fruit dominates the flavour with a slight hint on toffee malt. First that element that strikes, no second - the label is a stand-out, is a strong wave of pineapple. And then underneath are the hops. Like the taste it isn't overly affected by the extra buds but has the citrus foundation. A pleasant initial on the tongue with orange and nice finish that gently lingers. A great IPA that doesn't throw a mouth grenade.

Pours dark orange with a slightly tanned white head. Very sweet tropical aromas, largely of pineapple and grapefruit and some caramel sweetness. Excellent malt backbone to balance the hops. The best description I can come up with is a ’sticky’ sweetness. But this makes it delicious. Fruity, citrus and pine tastes also. A winner Tezminator (240) - AUSTRALIA - JAN 6, 2017
One of the better Aussie IPA’s. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit and caramel as well as very faint pine. Taste is caramel, pineapple and passion fruit. Some notes of pine and grapefruit coming through too. Proper bitter finish from the fresh hops. Very drinkable. Davros (3187) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 12, 2013
Pours hazy dark amber with a large, fading head.
Lots of pine, grapefruit, caramel malt, booze and confectionery on the nose.
Pretty aggressive flavours, lots of pine and resinous hops along with a massive serving of sweet clean malt. Finishes with an assertive bitterness.
Body feels a bit too thick.
