Shared bottle at Crowbar, thanks to Abemorsten. Pours clear reddish amber with a small creamy white head. Aroma is malty + a lots of hoppy happiness. Weak crisp palate.Taste is dry, weak minerals, crisp and almost bone dry finish. Good, but maybe a bit slim bodied.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2017 Tap at the brewery in Beechworth. Immaculate deep copper pour with off-white foamy head and considerable lacing. Biscuit and toffee malts, followed by citrus flowers and pine aromas, although slightly subdued. Initial flavours of biscuity malt leading into grass, citrus, pine and pleasing bitterness. Hazy brown color, tan head. Fruity, sweet taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Malty, hoppy aftertaste. sweet, fruity scent.

Bottle. Pours dark red, with a big creamy head. Aroma is fruity with orange peel and apricots, as well as caramel malts and grain. Full creamy body with soft carbonation. Taste is malt caramel with fruity peach, pine, hop resin and a lingering dry nutty earthy bitterness. Smooth slightly oily mouth feel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. At just on chilled and into a tulip. Well conditioned, ruddy copper and not quite bright. Mountainous, rocky off white foam atop hold steady and laces a thick weave. There is a toffeeish, biscuity sweetness to the nose that melds well with the piney and floral, Starburst™ fruit chew hops that fill it out. Nice rounded feel on the palate. Prickly carbonation up front before smoothing out and even getting a little oily in the back. An apex of bitter hops is held amongst notes of fruit candy, perfume musk, pine needles and pine wood, dried, mown grass and lime juice. Drops off short in the swallow. Balanced by biscuity, chewy malts and a touch of roasted peanut. All in all a sessionable beast. Well made!
