Bridge Road Brewers have created their own take on a more traditional beer style - India Pale Ale, originally a heavily hopped beer developed for the long haul from England to India by boat. Fresh hops were added to the barrel and the alcohol was bolstered to ensure the beer went the distance on the high seas. Bling, is a huge beer, with all the bells and whistles. This ale is armed to the teeth with hops and studded with 24 carrot modified malts. At Bridge Road weve gone all out to make an IPA that screams hops and malt but still keeps balance in mind. Try matching this beer it with anything spicy or enjoy this malt and hop mouth full on its own. We love it, and hope you can too.

At just on chilled and into a tulip. Well conditioned, ruddy copper and not quite bright. Mountainous, rocky off white foam atop hold steady and laces a thick weave. There is a toffeeish, biscuity sweetness to the nose that melds well with the piney and floral, Starburst fruit chew hops that fill it out. Nice rounded feel on the palate. Prickly carbonation up front before smoothing out and even getting a little oily in the back. An apex of bitter hops is held amongst notes of fruit candy, perfume musk, pine needles and pine wood, dried, mown grass and lime juice. Drops off short in the swallow. Balanced by biscuity, chewy malts and a touch of roasted peanut. All in all a sessionable beast. Well made! (33cL, no date stamp, Cellarbrations Carlisle)

0.33l bottle @ Henrik. This is a heavy cloudy deep dark plum red one with a islandy off-white head. Really caramelly and sticky on the nose. Lots of sweetness and some resinous hops. Marzipan and almonds are also present in this aroma. Need I mention that its on the sweet side of the scale? It has a mild oily mouthfeel and the carbonation level is about average. Nice flavors. It almost feels nutty bitter with lots of strong resinous hops. A strong malty base, caramel biscuits and "I want more" taste after the swallow. Ends light mouthdrying. Mhm, a good one. 08.03.2013

330 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.8%. Dark amber colour, slightly hazy. Huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits galore, also notes of citrus and crushed gooseberries. The medium sweet flavour has also plenty of fruity and piney hops throughout, with a bitter finish. Crystal malts in the background.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy, slightly reddish brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is hoppy and a little fruity. The flavour is all about the hops! Its rich, sharp, medium to strong bitter and the floral hoppiness dominates. The palate and the aftertaste are rather smooth though which was a little unexpected.
