Bridge Road Brewers have created their own take on a more traditional beer style - India Pale Ale, originally a heavily hopped beer developed for the long haul from England to India by boat. Fresh hops were added to the barrel and the alcohol was bolstered to ensure the beer went the distance on the high seas. Bling, is a huge beer, with all the bells and whistles. This ale is armed to the teeth with hops and studded with 24 carrot modified malts. At Bridge Road weve gone all out to make an IPA that screams hops and malt but still keeps balance in mind. Try matching this beer it with anything spicy or enjoy this malt and hop mouth full on its own. We love it, and hope you can too.

Not one of the biggest tastiest ipa but a good beer. Pleasant aroma of citrus and grapes. Nice malt balance but lacking that full on flavour of an ipa that Ive come to expect just a little watery and thin.

Bottle at Crowbar, january 8th 2013. Hazy dark orange body, lasting off white head. Looking good. Malty aroma, moderate hoppy with light fruit and grass. Mostly sweet malt though. Taste takes up a bit, with a more toned down caramel malt taste, still missing a bit of the hop presence Id like an ipa to contain. Orange and pine finds its way in small doses. Bitterness on the low side of the scale, but surely pleasant enough. Aftertaste is sweet and fruity. An ok ipa, but not "bling" enough.

Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long sweet fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Shared bottle @ Patricks. Reddish amber body with a rather small off-white head. Aroma is fruity with pine and caramel malt. Quite strong in aroma. Flavor is sweet, caramel malt, fruit, berries and marmalade, moderate bitterness. Fine body and a sweet malty, fruity aftertaste where the bitterness becomes more obvious. Quite nice and rather malty IPA that lacks some bitterness but has an interesting flavor and a very nice aroma.

Bottle, at Patricks. A gusher, producing a small off-white head over a clear, dark amber body. Piney, resiny nose, with biscuity, toffee-ish malts. Theres a little bitterness in the mouth, pine cones and citrus peel too, with a bit to much maltiness. Full to medium body, soft carbonation. A bit short finish. Nice, but not a winner. 130214

Was a little neautral aroma on this, medium nice head, amber colour, was a fruity taste, but still missing the hop, has the transport from Australia to Norway "killed" the hop? Maybe its brewed 4-5 months ago? A little more than average...a little boring, was hoping for more hop... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy dark amber color with creamy head. Nice aroma of hops and cereals, with a sweet information. Lean, clean mouthfeel, flavor of cereals and malt, with strong bitterness, nice hopping, some fruits.
Very nice and fresh.

Borefts warm up at Bier Temple, Amsterdam. Hazy amber beer, good white head. Light crispy palate. Minerals. Mild marmalade hops - a little watery. Tiny bit of creamy malt. Semi dry finish, Okay but a little wishy washy for a 5.8% IPA.
