Medium beige head. Hazy deep amber body. Caramelly raisiny aroma with citric kiwi notes. Dry-sweet roasty raisiny taste with resiny kiwi and chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish resiny dusty raisiny aftertaste with earthy spicy kiwi notes. Lovely, vivid, clear, and highly drinkable. The malt profile reminds me of US beers. (0.3l draft at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen.) Haze light brown. Small head. Faint hoppy. A lot of malty notes. Fine brew. Nor so intensiv.
A-- A deep, earthy brownish copper color. A one finger light brown head. Good head retention and just a little bit of lacing. Much darker than I expected.
S-- Lots of sweet, yeasty malt with this. Also get candied orange, lime and grapefruit. Hops are soft and malt is much bigger in the smell. A lot of sweetness to this.
T-- Grapefruit and malt. Pretty big doses of each. The grapefruit is a on the sour bitter side but workable as it does finally taste like an IPA should. Malt is a a little soft but works OK to tone down the grapefruit.
M-- Medium carbonation and a bit creamy. Heavy, bitter earthy grapefruit taste. To me it lacks the lemon and pine taste and feel that make IPA’s really good. Pretty one dimensional.
D-- Workable in small batches. Gramoit (493) - Surrey, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2012
Pours copper in colour, with a small head that recedes into a thin film. It is a fairly malty ipa, with hops taking a back seat but still influencing the taste. A fairly sessionable ipa. Overall it is a good brew but would like it to be a little more hoppy for my tastes, but one I want to have in the future. jdpeebs (686) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAY 21, 2012
330ml Bottle. Pours dark orange in colour. Fantastic citrus hop aromas. Good malt flavours on initial taste followed by a big hit of lingering hops. Very good beer.
