COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bridge Road have used a brand new hop strain called ’Enigma’ for this New World Pilsner. Inspired by the frequently excellent New Zealand pilsners, it is a pilsner that uses the sort of hopping rates and methods brewers typically use when creating a US style Pale Ale. This pilsner has been brewed as an Australian take on the craft pilsners of NZ. A light bodied lager heavily hopped with the new Australian variety, Enigma.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Keg 23/8/17 aroma of light clean yeast, hint of pine, some melon. Taste of dry crisp cleansing yeast, but still light melon slightly dominanant. Taste is similar with a little more citrus yuzu character coming through. Dry and refreshing. Solid retaining head and laces all the way down when consumed properly. A hit.

Draught @ brewery, Beechworth Pale straw body, creamy wite head. Good hop driven nose - floral, herbal, sort of passionfruity, ripe sweet almost candied honeydew, paw paw. Medium body, dry, crisp, clean. Slight toasty malt backbone, grain leading onto pleasant notes of that candied melon & paw paw/papaya tropical fruit notes, leading onto grass notes on a reasonable bitter finish. Nice pils

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light straw colour with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, zesty tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, refreshing, citrus fruit, grassy hop bitter palate. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation.

Poured a clear pale straw colour with a huge bright white dense foamy head that filled the glass, retained too well and laced OK. Carbonation very low and fine. Aroma of citrus (?lime), melon, light tropical fruits and with a touch of earthiness; all subtle and not over-powering. Taste of moderately sweet malts with citrus and light tropical fruits; low bitterness. Light body. Crisp, clean, smooth and light with very low level bitterness on the finish. Would be refreshing on a summer’s day.
