poured dark cola and settled black, hints of ruby show through. Light brown layer of film. Excellent staying power to this. Good lacing.
Smells of chocolate covered orange with dirty, gritty pineapple and orange hybrid. Good nose.
taste is a bit odd but good. a little rubbing alcohol but it is restrained. Really do not notice the body as the hop profile dominates. Orange, pine and grapefruit. all muddled together and very dirty.
palate is a little meh but good. A little bit of metallic pine and grapefruit but oily in the front and mid and low carbonation.
I like this. Very different and to me the hop character is what stands out. Not the body of this. stoutnick (843) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUN 2, 2012

This is a very robust beer, it covers all bases with distinction. Aroma is in full effect with a very dark pour. Floral aromas. Minimal head which stays during the whole experience. Pine, earthy grapefruit taste. The bitter / sour lingers in the mouth. Nice! Jado (805) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - MAY 21, 2013
Pours a really solid black with a pillowy tan head. The nose is pretty amazing with a combo of fresh and stewed fruit, pine resin, chocolate, a little smoke, some spice and coffee. The taste starts out with apple and raisin, which gives way pretty quickly to a moderate hop and coffee bitterness before pine and some light chocolate appear at the end. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Finishes relatively clean with a coffee/spice aftertaste. Awesome. Oakes (19416) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 6, 2014
Dark brown. Aroma is floral/citrusy bright hops with a decent amount of roast. Rich woody/citrus hop bitterness and toasty hop. Right in line w the style, good, balanced and flavoursome. varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 13, 2014
Deep brown, almost black pour with a light brown head. Malty, chocolatey, coffee aromas with a little citrus. Taste is similar, slightly sweet too, hops are more noticeable than in the aroma. Pretty damn good. Rosslew (320) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 27, 2014
A lot of everything. A bit of nut, some coffee, a tad of licorice, toast and malt. But none overpowers the other. Wonderful on palate. Like a lollie bag. A great dark beer that isn't too black.
