COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The harvest has been hopped to the hilt using fresh hop cones straight from the nearby Rostrevor hop garden. The variety of hop is unique to the gardens research block. The variety was selected for "The harvest" due to its big orange and citrus aromas, with the fresh hop being added to the kettle as well as the conditioning tank. As for how the hop character translate into the beer, well open it and find out.

33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, Tampere.
Pours clear golden color with a large frothy head. Aroma has some floral hops, lemony fruits, faint herbal notes, pale malts and caramel. Flavour is also very hoppy and fruity, caramel and hay also. Somewhat bitter fruity palate, dry finish. Good.

Green is the best word for this beer. Smells like fresh hops as soond you crack it. Mild pine, less citrus but a hint. Pours clear amber with foamy white head. Taste is almost all hops but in a balanced and complex way without riding roughshod over one’s palate. Finishes relatively quickly given the bitterness, but fresh.

Light and inviting colour, good IPA background with a dominant grapefruit flavour, clean bitterness, really enjoyable fresh hopped ale,

Pours hazy golden orange with a nice off white head. Nose has herbacious hops that bring masses of citrus and tropical fruit. I’d say nelson sauvin or galaxy varieties. Palate translates well. A heap of tropical fruit: mango, passionfruit. A touch of dry grainy aussie malt pops up, but is very feint. Certainly not enough to offend, almost a little bit biscuity. Finishes with green grassy hops and medium bitterness. Really good! Practically oozes fresh hops.

Hazy gold, nice head and lacing. Deliciously fresh hop aroma which morphs as you drink it, starting off like a cross between Alpha Pale Ale and LCPA of old, then progressing to lemon marmalade, subtle Galaxy-esque weediness and NS-style grapiness. If they are using Galaxy (or something similar) they’re getting impressively refined character out of it. The flavour doesn’t really deliver on what the aroma promises, but it still goes alright. Initial hop flavour is good, malt is slight and a little milky but the whole lot trails away very quickly. Bitterness barely registers, but as the malt has disappeared by then it’s probably for the best. I was initially let down but then I realised I got through a few bottles in no time flat, so they must be doing something right. But it’s hard not to want a bit more guts after a great aroma like that.

A great companion to the more intense but far less sessionable Bling IPA. This beer shows fantastic balance and the green nettle hops are a real highlight on both the nose and in the mouth. This hop input is quite subtle but matches the structure very well. Lachlan is right in saying that the palate power is a bit light but this didn’t detract from the sheer drinkability. A true session beer if I ever saw one.

Slightly cloudy yellow with lasting head. Strong hop nose, tropical fruits and citrus, pleasant bitterness in the taste, drinks well though a touch more body would do the trick.
