Pours a dark red with a nice white head. Smells a little bit nutty. Tastes a bit nutty with a nice roasted balance. mudslinger92 (2) - Stanfield, Oregon, USA - DEC 19, 2012 does not count
Great beer. Has a slightly fruity flavor but not overwhelming. Smooth and a little heavy but not to much. A great combo for a seasonal beer. jmohno (1670) - Iowa, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Cloudy amber,nice head,very thick lacing.Lasting creamy head. Pretty carbed. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Aroma of mild chocolate-caramel-mineral.Just mildly of an amber or brown.
Taste is about the same, kind of light-medium body But fullish and creamy at first- just finishes up more light bodied..Mild malt, mild carmel malts, mild hop, somewhat pleasant finish pretty mild but with carmalized tones. Not bad.
From 12 ounce bottle. Much tastier than I remembered. Balanced hoppiness paired with caramel and toffee notes. ads135 (5053) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 6, 2012
Not a bad winter beer. Deep amber with a nice thick head. Rich and malty with a good grassy hop balance. Has a nice spicy body.

Brownish-red and hazy, good one finger head and fairly good lacing. DMLINAZ (358) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - DEC 1, 2012
Spicy and hoppier than I’d expect from a winter warmer, a bit earthy with a touch of solvent like notes.
Spicy again on the taste, caramel malts, floral and earthy hops, a tinge of alcohol.
Body is pretty full and mildly bitter on the finish, with some residual caramel malt flavor.
Overall it’s a decent winter warmer. Not my favorite, but good enough for inclusion in a mixed twelvesky.
Humbug! Actually pretty good, though given the name I expected something bolder. Or at least involving some Christmas ghosts. Warm malts with some underlying hoppy bitterness. Some spice on the finish. timmeratx (22) - Texas, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Bottle offering. Deep auburn coloured. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and cooked fruits. Flavorful and tasty with notes of spice and molasses. A very tasty winter brew. BK7 (805) - Turner, Oregon, USA - NOV 27, 2012
Bottle. Malty sweetness balanced with a light bitterness. Dark fruit, nuts and oranges. Spicy finish. brian60625 (756) - Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2012
12 ounce bottle. Here’s a good example of how some beers sit in tough company within a style category. It’s a hot copper color with a decent amount of bubble action and a light layer of foam and lacing on the glass. The flavor is cinnamon and pumpkin spice. The aroma is negligible, and the mouthfeel is medium. In all, this is a mild, warm, and soothing beverage. Yet, with holiday spiced beers, the competition is stiff and this one is only average because it lacks a distinctive character. I bought this as a $1.69 component of a mix six, and while it’s not an allstar, it’s a solid, economical member of a late fall lineup.
