Pretty good this year. Amber and opaque. Nice legs. A little bready flavor but the malt and caramel mix well with it which some don’t like but I love. Bitterness is almost perfect. Good winter warmer. BelvidereIPA (140) - Belvidere, Illinois, USA - DEC 11, 2011
Bottle to pint glass. Pours a dark copper, with a distinct red tint. Limited, white head that dissipates quickly. Lot of malts, with a roasted caramel scent. CampesinoTino (800) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Bottle. Appearance is a deep mahogany color with a half-inch of white foam. The aroma is mostly toffee, malt, orange citrus and cinnamon. The flavor opens up dry and sugary with lots of caramel, brown sugar, toasted malt, barley and cardamom. Also a little bit of citrusy, medicinal hops in the background. Fairly smooth and well-carbonated body with more malt and spice in the finish. Simple but well-crafted. Thewade (340) - USA - DEC 6, 2011
Nice winter brew....... Makes a good session beer........ Easy to drink. One of the better Bridgeport brews I’ve had.

12oz bottle pours deep amber with a foamy tan head. Aroma is citrus hops and bready malt. Taste adds caramel sweetness.

Poured from the bottle, not impressed at all. Aroma is plain, and flavor seems to malty. There are much better holiday beers bpreo (2884) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Definitely tastes like Winter. At 6.4% abv it earns the "Strong Ale" classifier. Hophogs (5) - - NOV 18, 2011 does not count
Not a huge fan. Malty and toasted but fell flat on the palate. Felt like was missing pine but am getting over a cold

Started off ok, but second impression was not good. There just isn’t much of interest happening with this beer. It is predominately malt flavor, with only the slightest complexities. Not worth coming back to. So far this brewer is not impressing me. maley1 (1301) - Calgary, CANADA - NOV 13, 2011
Beautiful amber pour with small white head, looks awesome. Malty aroma. Taste is malty with a slight hint of caramel and a bitter finish. Carbonation on this was where the beer fell apart as it seemed fizzy and with a wierd metallic taste and the bitter finish all fighting against each other made this beer a little hard to finish.
