22oz bottle, Seattle. 2012 bottle. Rosy orange, smallish tan head. Tart raspberry-cranberry nose. Fruit leather, some red fruit skin funk. Rich medium body that starts with some souring fruit but mellows with wine tannins and smooth finish. Tart red fruit finish. Pretty alright but not very precise.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours garnet with a thin oyster head and a red berry aroma. There is a hearty malt flavor with lots of fruit and an oaky vinous finish. A nice blend of tastes.

Bomber #1365 of 2400 from Malt & Vine. Pours dark and ruddy with a transient , slight white head. Aroma is very berry - raspberry with others? Med body. Flavor is tart berry, a little grape and a light touch of oak. Plus berry seed. Dry and tart. Delicious.

Wow, this is rated like shit, I guess I am the only one to like it besides daknole. Strange. Nose of fresh raspberry, wood, jammy wine, a little funky yeast notes. I think it smelled great. Pours dark red with an off white head and lace. Flavors of fresh raspberries, tart and real, did not get any artificial notes, jammy wine, woody barrel notes, a little chewiness and funk in the finish. Dry and freshly tart, nice carbonation. I really liked this shit alot. Maybe I got a good bottle?

22, capped and waxed. Pours a hazy rubied bright garnet with a loose scant pink rim. Big tart synthetic raspberry nose, smells like a syrup concentrate with a little barnyard funk thrown in. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Sharp cough syrup mid palate. Long dry finish.

22oz bottle from Belmont Station. Tulip. A: Brackish red with a ring of lazy white bubbles. Pour yields aggressive, attacking carbonation. N: Raspberry, raspberry, and more raspberry. The woodiness is slightly present in the back with some cherry. A slight pepper. Not overly complex but it is as advertised. T: Tart raspberry flushed with water. Lemon. Really fails the nose, here. Marionberry and cherry. Pretty lackadaisical. N: Light and watery. Refreshing, if you’re using the word like ’interesting’. O: Had a chance to be an under the radar work of brilliance. Rather, the flavor fails the wonderful raspberry nose. Sad.

robforbes (2242) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2012
