Pours an unexpected perfectly clear gold orange with thin white head, no lacing. Aroma is suprisingly light of grain, slight malt, very slight yeast, some spices, and orange. Flavor matches too well, unfortunately and has some odd astringent alcohol taste that I just can’t get over. Huge miss for a tripel.

Golden with a white head. Toasted malt, grain, sweet, wet cardboard, light spice. Medium bodied. Not that great.

American brewerys should just leave the Belgian style beers alone,we have no business trying to duplicate Belgian beers.Once one has tried original Trappist Belgian beers, nothing will ever compare.

Bomber from Boise Co-op. Dark golden, with sudden high head, which rapidly dissipates. First knock, the style needs to hold a big head. Aroma is in the ballpark, yeast, cloves. Taste carries these notes forward, sweet, slightly savory. Slick mouthfeel. Peppery finish.

Golden, with a thin white head. Estery aroma as expected, and taste is sweet, with mild phenolics. Not great fermentation, but drinkable enough. $5/22oz

A decent Tripel, smells better then it tastes. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Smells great, citrus and lots of herbs. That doesn't come out in the taste though. Fairly standard Tripel. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle:   Hazy straw with a slight orange hue, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing, very subtle carbonation.   Yeasty, doughy, and bready on the nose.   Very faint citrus aspect.   Also comes across as musty.   Heavy musty/breadiness on the tongue.   Not bright like Belgian examples, but moreso that heavy bready flavor I mostly find in American versions.   Does seem a bit more musty or basement funkish than most.   A little heat and alcohol on the back, but nothing serious.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full... well it would appear to be a little thick anyway.   Not bad, drinkable, fairly clean, but on the heavy side without being bright.   I guess I just have this thing against most American made Tripels as being too dull, bready, and not enough floral or bright characters.   Not bad, anyhows.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of mflat and fruit, leading to a dry finish, where the fruit note lingers.
