Warning, i saw some huge pieces of "goo" in ths bottle.
Appearance..hazy orange with lots of sediment floating around, large frothy loff white head.
Aroma..garlic and onions..really some soap lemon.
Taste is not as bad as the aroma but pretty weak for a DIPA..some lemony hop.
Watery palate. Drain pour
I believe this (hope) it is bad.
Im pissed..my worst from Bridgeport ever. troopie (2341) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - APR 26, 2009
Bomber. Poured burnished copper with thick white head. Enormous citrus and hop aroma, with pine and floral notes. Big farking hop flavour, pine nut, sour lemon, naartjie and a malt fringe. Lingering, lasting hop finish, I mark it down a tiny bit, because there was an unpleasant oily tinge to the finish kenb (1102) - Oregon, USA - APR 10, 2009
woohoo, my first beer this year. Rewarding myself for losing 20lbs....
Pours a clear copper with a massive beige head.mmmmm, 4 months between IIPA’s is waaaay to long. And this has been in my fridge that long calling out to me every time i open the door lol... Nose is hops, all hops..some grassyiness and orange/fruit. My palette has changed, and this is mass bitter..but it is all good. It is wondrous piney, grapefruit, orange rind explosion of hoppiness. Finish is a bit metallic. Body is medium. I bow to the Hop Czar. May his reign be long! Beardface (1517) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - APR 10, 2009
22oz bottle from Market of Choice. Amber/orange pour with a big white head. Heavily floral aroma with a slight bit of citrus at the back. Hugely bitter pine aroma flavor with very little balance and a slight bit of lemony flavor as well. Not bad, but a little too much bitterness even for me. Bottle at DuffmanSWs tasting. No notes so I’ll do my best! Hazy orange with a thin white film. Aroma is very citrusy and a bit floral and doesnt seem particularly fresh. Flavor is very citrusy bitter with a good deal of malt sweetness and fresh fruit backing it up. Finishes very long and bitter. Reminded me a little bit of white knuckle. Moderate mouthfeel and carbonation. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAR 28, 2009
22oz bottle brought to DuffMan’s fish taco throwdown by Mikeandi from BA, big thanks for this one guy’s. Going off my shorthand notes for this. Bright glowing orange color. Very nice aroma on this one, a little floral and piney. This was pretty bitter, but overall pretty god, although it may have been a bit past it’s prime. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 24, 2009
