3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Almost didn’t buy this. It was sitting next to six-packs of Shock Top, so I thought it was an InBev/AB product. Looked almost too much like ABs gluten-free beer packaging. However, it had Portland slathered liberally about it and I was willing to take my chances at $8.99. I woulda been p*ssed had it turned out to be a bad AB brew.
Anyhow, to the review...From a 12 oz. bottle from a local liquor/grocery not known for a lot of quality nor depth of selection. Poured into a Belgian snifter. Cloudy orange pour with a generous fluffy white head. Aroma a nice balance between hops and malt sweetness - even given my stuffy nose. The taste is balanced as well, especially for the style. The aroma foretold the taste. The alcohol is restrained enough to let the hop/malt balance shine through. This is a big beer, not a huge totally outta proportion beer. There is a nice bitterness that lingers. Nice lace down the glass and a tongue tingling carbonation. I would definitely buy this beer again.
Bottle - pours hazy orange with a big white head. Aroma is orange, pine and caramel. Taste is citrus up front with an immediate hop kick into a lingering bone dry finish. donandres (590) - Makati, PHILIPPINES - FEB 2, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2017 12 ounce bottle poured to wine glass
dark amber, very hazy, medium tan foam that slowly goes away

Small bottle from a 24 variety pack, bought at Costco in Marysville, WA. An orange amber beer with moderate white head and faint beer nose. At first the heavy hop note is delightful, but then one realizes that the malt is insufficient. Not well balanced. 3.4 Hop_Hedonist (614) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 25, 2016
Tap at Petition - great drink - super balance - piney citrus hop dominant against competing caramel malt - easy drinker - like it a lot. beer-yum (1825) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 18, 2016
Citrus pine aroma in a golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with full citrus fruit body and sustained bitter finish.

Bottle. Clear, orange, rocky head, white foam, medium bitterness, light sweetness, medium body, oily feel, flat, & bitter finish. onceblind (10091) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 16, 2016
Hazy deep gold, almost an orange-like hue, with a creamy foamy top. Big earthy and grassy hop bitterness on the aroma with a little bitter orange peel as well. Earthy and grassy leafy flavor with some earthy citric pithy bitterness, but then all the sudden there’s this orange/grapefruit sweetness and a pale malty backbone. radagast83 (8191) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 16, 2016
Bottle shared with a co-worker. Poured a clear orange color, though sediment really picked up on this one pretty quickly. Aroma was maltier than I would have expected, but a nice citrus character really comes through on it. Lots of floral hop leaf notes. Light chewy character. Grapefruit zest is nice. This had been in the co-worker’s fridge for almost a year and was still pretty solid - would like to try it fresh. oldrtybastrd (5003) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 13, 2016
Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some caramel malty tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. swillguzzler99 (195) - Peoria, Arizona, USA - MAR 18, 2016
12 ounce bottle. Pours a light copper, particulate matter and turbid. Nose of orange and a hint of pine. Taste is somewhat of an acrid bitter that coats the tongue with slime. Not the best.
