Very yummy, just a very nice rendering of a very good beer-lover’s style. Sticky-syrupy texture with thick semi-sweet hop flavor and wonderful balance. Dangerously drinkable. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 2, 2010

At last, after twenty six years, Bridgeport has come up with a product I’d definitely buy again.
Very floral with notes of cedar, black pepper, orange, grapefruit, a hint of coriander, and a long, powerful finish.
The blurb on the label claims "From field to brew in one hour" referring to the Centennial hops, and it tastes like that.
This beer might be overdone (especially at only 6.56% abv), but because it’s a Bridgeport ale (big flavor has never been their strong suit), the flavor remains perfectly restrained and refreshing.

So Bridgeport IPA is in my top 3 favorite beers for its the citrus infused hops and the easy drinkability. This beer is an amped up version of the standard IPA. Very citrusy, a great woodsy aroma, a thick cloudy yellowish haze...mmmm. The malts and hops are well balanced and leave a clean aftertaste for an Imperial IPA. A keeper for sure. Pint (2) at the brewpub - Very nice floral aroma with a hint of orange peel. Tastes like summer rolling into fall. It has a very fresh feel to it. I love wet hopped beer!

22 oz bomber from QFC on Mercer (Seattle).
Pours a deep golden honey color with slight red/brown hue and a frothy white head. The nose is pine, grass, black pepper, light spinach, floral hops, and a sweet honey/caramel malt. The taste is pine, grass, and spinach initially and transitions into some slight pepper, floral hops, and slightly bitter grapefruit, which finishes with a delicious, slightly sweet caramel malt and a dry piney hop aftertaste. Great seasonal ipa. I love the fresh hop taste. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JAN 2, 2011
I now wish that I had bought more of this but I am glad to have tasted this. Pours an orange shade and the bouquet is very woodsy. The taste is very light and buoyant. Citrus notes and chamomile. Just a terrific IPA with a touch of bitterness. poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Bomber. Bought at Fred Meyer in CDA, ID. Pours hazy cantaloupe with a large rocky lacy off-white head with great retention. Aroma is clean; it’s faintly piney, citrusy, floral and bready. I was hoping for something really resinous and in your face. Taste is bittersweet. Not your typical IPA. There’s something here in the mix that sets this apart from most IPAs. I like it. It tastes fresh. I wish the brewery would put a brewed on date on the bottle so I knew just how fresh it is. Palate is sticky, carbonation is average. Really good, I just wish the aroma was more pungently hoppy. rwargo24 (7) - - JUN 17, 2012 does not count
Not as hoppy as I would have liked, given "hop" is in the name, but wasn’t bad compared to all the beer I’ve had. It is a little less hoppy for a "hoppy" beer, but still pleasant to drink. neepsntatties (1988) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 5, 2010
Had a bottle of this when it hit the Portland, OR market. Colour... cloudy orange-gold with a thick head. Nose... moderate hops with some floral accents. Palate... a burst of wet hops, hints of white sugar sirop, alpha-like hops, yeast notes and a delightful apple skin finish.
