Hazy orange color with a rocky white head. The aroma was very fruity...orange, grapefruit, and some nice floral tones as well. The flavor was sweet...a little too sweet for an IPA. I agree with jazz88 that this seems more like an APA. I also agree with alcfron that towards the end this tasted very much like a child's orange drink...fascinating. Nice session ale. Light amber with slight head; wet wood, strawberry/kiwi and cannabis aroma. Grapefruit, orange, floral flavor, fruit is enhanced by the bottle conditioning... very clean, with a dry quenching finish, not overdone . Nice apertif... Suttree (6521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2003
Grapefruit and carrots. roughish hops, in a good way. Just enough malt to balance it out. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - APR 1, 2003
Thanks to Gregory for this bottle. Nice solid IPA. Nothing wrong with it. Tastes like any other west coast IPA. Was looking for a little more.

This beer is simply great! While not as "strong" as many IPAs, the hops and malt are nicely balanced with a fresh hop aroma. rodolito (163) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 8, 2003
Poured a clear golden color with a thick white head. Aroma full of citrus and grapefruit with a light biscuit maltiness in the background. The flavor was a little one-dimensional - juicy citrus grapefruit. Strong hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Somewhat light mouthfeel. Moderate/strong carbonation with a light creaminess in the background. For me, it was a little too juicy/watery with more citrus than I cared for. adrenalin112 (57) - Lake Forest, California, USA - MAR 7, 2003
Great IPA. Very clean appearance & taste. Smooth, yet retains characteristics true to an ipa. Even better at the brewery. One of the best. A step above the red hook ballard bitter. weusebio (69) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 25, 2003
By far the best IPA that I've found. Easier drinking than most and just an overall great beer. Bye bye six pack... herbjones (742) - Orange, California, USA - FEB 21, 2003
