Poured a clear golden color with a thick white head. Aroma full of citrus and grapefruit with a light biscuit maltiness in the background. The flavor was a little one-dimensional - juicy citrus grapefruit. Strong hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Somewhat light mouthfeel. Moderate/strong carbonation with a light creaminess in the background. For me, it was a little too juicy/watery with more citrus than I cared for.

Great IPA. Very clean appearance & taste. Smooth, yet retains characteristics true to an ipa. Even better at the brewery. One of the best. A step above the red hook ballard bitter.

By far the best IPA that I've found. Easier drinking than most and just an overall great beer. Bye bye six pack...

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (light bread), moderately hoppy (grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. Decent for the style, but nothing really new...typical grapefruit hops dominate the aroma, with plenty of citric acidity in the mouth (but heaps of bitterness too and enough malt to carry it through). Gets a score boost from the wonderful appearance and velvety mouthfeel.

This beer has a light aroma and a dry palate. Good hop levels for an IPA but still not spectacular. Kind of pale gold in color. Not the best IPA I've had but drinkable none the less.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2004 Not as bold as a beer from the PNW should be but drinkable none the less. Light apricot taste and mellow bitterness.

The aroma is of fruit (tangerine) and somewhat like candy sweet. The appearance is a light orangish gold, with a cram colored head. The flavor is fruity (again tangarine). The beer is smooth and clean. Overall a very nice beer.

Pours a cloudy amber with a big fluffy head. Aroma is obviously mostly hops with little noticeable malt. Soft bready mouthfeel with a dry and bitter finish. This could use some more malt balance, but otherwise is very true to style.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2003 Crips and clean, just like a new dollar bill. A liitle lighter than I expected an IPA but a very good brew that I would drink again, when I can get it on draft.
