KINGPIN is a full-flavored, red-colored ale that uses a rarely-grown Willamette Valley Hop varietal known as Liberty Hops from fourth generation hop farmer John Annen of Annen Bros. Farm in Silverton, Oregon. Jeff and his team of brewers also used rye and caramel malt leading to a unique flavor profile; triple-hopped for bitter aroma and a unique dry-hopped character.

Loose single from Binnys. Finally my first Bridgeport beer, although there are some bombers somewhere in my cellar. I get a big nose of malts and alcohol at the pour, not as much hop. Carola brown pour under a spongy beer head, not much bubble activity in my glass. More hops found in the taste, a kind of slight citrus and slightly "dry" hop note. Or maybe just a standard hop bitterness. Either way, it matches nicely with a slightly spicy malt bill. Texture seems a little light, but its leaving sticky traces on my lip, and the alcohol comes in to warm me up on this cold night.

Enjoyable double red from Bridgeport. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin, tan head. Aroma is surprisingly faint, mostly of hops, a tad sweet. Big flavor, with hops and light caramel. Smooth on the palate with light carbonation on the tongue. Overall a good double red from Bridgeport. Not overpowering with good hops flavor

Tastes like a fuller bodied and heavier hopped version of the local pale ale by Boulevard. I enjoyed it a lot.

Caramel, resin, peach aromas. khaki head on clear amber. good blance of weight and fizz in the moth, aromatic. Hops win the the tussle just barely, with some pine, okay tang, a slightly overcooked caramel. balanced bitter finish.

Nice beer! Has a woody barleywine aroma to start. Really awesome color. Super clean and crystal clear with a beautiful frothy head. Its like barleywine light. Bitter caramel and toasty. It has a unique enticing bitter flavor. You know how some beers make you think about pussy? This beer has that quality. Sex in a glass. Its that aroma.

Pours a hazy reddish amber with a short lived head. Aroma is dominated by hops with a little soapiness. Flavor is an excellent balance of floral hops and roasted malts. Very easy to drink. Would make a superb session beer...but watch out for the ABV! This would be great with spicy Indian or South American foods to mellow out the heat. Cheers!

hazy copper with a thin fizzy head that quickly ends. Rich caramel aroma with moderate hop bitterness. The alcohol is not hidden very well towards the end. dry finish.

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, sticky off-white head. Hoppy, bitter aroma wit soem decent aromatic pine notes. Flavor has a nice solid bitterness to it with some underlying spiciness. Juicy grapefruit bitter notes, some syrupy maple notes. Thickish mouthfeel. Just this side of decent.
