Pour is a dark red with a small whtie head. Aroma is a ok sticky sweet malt with some lingering hop. Flavor is deffinatly a rye malt spice with some sugar and a minor hop. Finish is bitter with a little alcohol. Decent but not great. Needs a heavier malt base and a lot more hops. Cybercat (5841) - Georgia, USA - FEB 20, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 Comes out of the tap a clear, dark amber with a fluffy and persistent cream-yellow, fine-bubbled head. Fruity aroma has malty and woody undertones. Woody, fruity, malty flavor has earthy and caramel hints - quite tasty. Firm-bodied texture is fizzy and lively. A kingpin indeed!
Tried this in a bottle - and it’s just as good this was as on-tap! Westmeister (2129) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Draft @ Bridgeport. Pours a clear ruby medium off white head, good lace. The aroma is sweet malt the is a decent amount of hops lingering. Taste is more sweet malts with a dry hop bitterness. Decent brew. BritAlesRule (216) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Nice deep amber color. Not much head. Malt aroma of a nice English ESB. Slightly bitter and medium bodied in the mouth with more bready and nutty malts. Nice and dry on the back end with just enough sweet balance. DrnkMcDermott (3101) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Loose single from Binny’s. Finally my first Bridgeport beer, although there are some bombers somewhere in my cellar. I get a big nose of malts and alcohol at the pour, not as much hop. Carola brown pour under a spongy beer head, not much bubble activity in my glass. More hops found in the taste, a kind of slight citrus and slightly "dry" hop note. Or maybe just a standard hop bitterness. Either way, it matches nicely with a slightly spicy malt bill. Texture seems a little light, but it’s leaving sticky traces on my lip, and the alcohol comes in to warm me up on this cold night.

Huzzah!! Found me another "favorite brew"!!! Superb balance between hops and malts. Now to find some wild game to pair this up with!! bseribeer (128) - Illinois, USA - JAN 8, 2012
Enjoyable double red from Bridgeport. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin, tan head. Aroma is surprisingly faint, mostly of hops, a tad sweet. Big flavor, with hops and light caramel. Smooth on the palate with light carbonation on the tongue. Overall a good double red from Bridgeport. Not overpowering with good hops flavor keith0718 (434) - Kansas, USA - DEC 30, 2011
Tastes like a fuller bodied and heavier hopped version of the local pale ale by Boulevard. I enjoyed it a lot. BK7 (773) - Turner, Oregon, USA - DEC 20, 2011
Bottle. Big caramel malt taste with a hint of something roasted and bitter at the end. Easy to drink with a unique taste. raphael (1256) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Caramel, resin, peach aromas. khaki head on clear amber. good blance of weight and fizz in the moth, aromatic. Hops win the the tussle just barely, with some pine, okay tang, a slightly overcooked caramel. balanced bitter finish.
