Hazy deep nutty Amber with a thin off white top. Aroma is a bit herbal, hard to put my finger on, with a bit of chocolate bubblegum. Funny brown malt flavor with some odd herbal hoppiness, a touch of citrus rind, a little Belgian yeast, I think, and a little early balanced bitterness. Not bad. Certainly complex and unique.

A nutty and malty mess. Not very good for its class. Smells malty and somewhat nutty. Some roasted malt notes. Pours reddish brown. Had at home

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: Pours a 3" cream colored pillowy head that drops very slowly leaving lots of lacing behind. Color is clear reddish-brown with some visible streaming carbonation. Aroma: sweet malts and caramel are dominate but some piney and earthy hop notes also present. Mouthfeel: medium bodied, slick, with a damp finish. Flavor: rich roasted malts, a hint of char, nuts, a hint of chocolate, hops in the taste are more earthy, but a hint of pine is still around. A slight dankness in the finish. Overall: a very nice brown ale.

Malty chocolate and caramel roast aroma with lots of earthy piney hops Pours a clear amber color with lasting creamy off white head Piney earthy hop flavor with caramel and roast malts Medium bodied with medium co2, lingering hoppy finish Enjoyable beer. I could have a couple of these. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; slightly auburn brown color with a brown head. Aroma of northwest spicy/fruity/piney hops, with some dark fruit and caramel. Flavor was a blend of sweet caramel, nuts and some earthy/spicy hop notes. A bit thin at times.

Bottle. Tawny Amber, average cream coloured head. Nutty caramel, bigger than average bitterness, but not really what I’m after in a brown ale. Just ok.

An amber-brown pour with an off-white head. The aroma has pine hops and some bread and nuts. It has a medium body with slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a slightly more bitter finish. Very tasty.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear brownish color with a moderate tan head on there. Nose is hoppier that I would have thought based on the style, and smells like grass with just a bit of toffee underneath. Taste is a bit sweet with some slight toasting and tiffee coming through. For some reason, I’m just not feeling this one.
