nice color, very wide range of tastes- cinnamon and spices, edge of citrus fruit. I’m really no good at writing all this stuff- I’m tipsy and just enjoy beer- I’m not really snobby. D:

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark reddish pour with thin slightly off white head, aroma has notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, some slight hops, caramel, toffee, hints of earth, spice notes in there as well, smells pretty well balanced. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, toffee, lots of cinnamon, ginger, finishing with some hints of earth, slight bitter grassy hops, finishing fairly dry and spicy.

Bottle:   Deep amber, reddish, moderate foamy light beige head, spotty lacing.   Bright fragrant citrusy nose, candle like as well.   Best I can say is very sweetened Ruby Red Grapefruit with a spicy fragrant candle.   Sweet citrusy rind up front, with a soft spicy backside.   Not as sharp or bright as one would think given its spicy and bright grapefruit on the nose.   The spices feel like very faint nutmeg and cinnamon, dull, not too sweet or vibrant.   Fragrant candle remains.   Tastes a little artificial.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Little bit of a mealy finish, lingering Ruby Red Grapefruit.   Not bad, but a little bit of an odd duck with the Grapefruit and candle fragrance.

From the bottle..pours brown with an off white head, Aroma and flavor are fruity and spicy. Fairly sweet in the taste, cinnamon isn’t noticeable very much. Decent, but missing something.

Sampled at 10/13/2012 at GABF. This spiced ale pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, hint of pumpkin spices. A medium bodied spiced ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. A touch sweet overall and the spices seem a little muted. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
