This rebellious Brigand is a dry bitter, blonde beer that re-ferments in the bottle. It used to be amber in colour; now it is pale blonde thanks to the use of pale malts and pils malt as well as unmalted wheat. Brigand tastes full in the mouth with a slightly malty aroma. It also has a slightly malty taste with accents of spices and hops. The hop bitterness comes through in the finish.

Ingredients: water, barley malt (Pale, Pilsener), unmalted wheat, sugar, hops, yeast, antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

Hoppige met een kruidige afdronk, een goede schuimkraag en een goede kleur.

Sweet, almost cider-like in taste. Yeasty. Medium-bodied. Hints of orange and peach. Pleasant enough if you like the direction it is going in, but one was enough for me.

It pours clear gold with reddish highlights; the head is off white and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: stewed fruit, apricots, honey, orange marmalade, and a bright floral characteristic. The taste is medium sweet that finishes medium bitter with a medium astringency; there are notes of: orange zest, pepper, alcohol, apricots, honey, and ginger. The palate is medium heavy bodied with medium carbonation and a long malty finish. Overall, randomly found this beer at sin and redemption on the back shelf - not bad at all.

Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is light amber colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty, with tones of flowers and spices. The taste is full and starts malty, and then a nice bitterness from the spices is noticable with a hint of fruits in the background. The finish is fresh and with a pleasant bitterness.

A: caramel, nuts, butterscotch, very good!!! A: Clear, amber. sparkling. Rocky head, very white, like a sorbet. T: heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, lots of alcohol. More butterscotch and malt. P: medium body, creamy, lively, astringent. O: I would like a full body here and less alcohol. But it is a nice beer.
