COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This rebellious Brigand is a dry bitter, blonde beer that re-ferments in the bottle. It used to be amber in colour; now it is pale blonde thanks to the use of pale malts and pils malt as well as unmalted wheat. Brigand tastes full in the mouth with a slightly malty aroma. It also has a slightly malty taste with accents of spices and hops. The hop bitterness comes through in the finish.

Ingredients: water, barley malt (Pale, Pilsener), unmalted wheat, sugar, hops, yeast, antioxidant (ascorbic acid).

Bottle: Pale golden, fairly clear, moderate foamy white head, falls somewhat quickly, spotty lacing.   Sweet nose, soft breadiness, seems a little floral and fruity.   Bright on the tongue, mild sweetness, malty, some floral and fruity aspects.   Seems like it more closely resembles a Tripel than anything else.   Quick finish, mild breadiness.   Sorta starts like a Tripel but falls off kinda quickly.   Clean, and certainly warming.   ABV is well hidden.   Body is moderate to full, mouthfeel is a little sticky.   Decent little beer, nothing extraordinary but certainly it is tasty.

Tap at La Bota, Leiden:Goldenhazy strong ale like the famous Duvel, but much sweeter and not so heavily carbonated like its famous counterpart.

Bottle sample at a beer festival in Kibbutz Maabarot. A yellow beer, a bit hazy, with a huge, rocky, white head. Fruity aroma with apples, yeast and some malt. Malty sweetish flavor, with fruits and some nice spicy yeastiness and a rather dry finish with an alcohol kick. Medium-bodied. Nothing really exceptional, but a very decent beer.

750 cl. bottle. Cant understand why "re-fermented in bottle" is written on the bottle, together with "antioxidant ascorbic acid". Isnt yeast the best antioxidant for beers? I cant find any trace of yeast in my bottle. The beer is opaque, perfectly clear. You can smell that industrial metallic "aroma" overwhelming a slight grainy, some veg cooked, and a dusty unpleasant hoppiness. Very alcoholic in mouth. Unpleasant.

A basic blonde quaffable ale with session potential in spite of being strong. Alcohol detectable but not offensive. Nice and dry. Finishes clean. Its not challenging. Not boring either.

Hazy golden beer with a large white dense creamy head that fades to leave a thin covering. Rich fruity, alcoholic aroma and a spicy alcohol taste....nice but just a bit too inbalanced....then again it is 9%.
