Cask conditioned @Beer Emporium, Bristol. Small off-white head, dark brown colour, very good lacing. Nice aroma of coffee and vanilla, also a bit of cookies. Lightly sweet with bitter/sour aftertaste. Light body, very drinkable. Could have been more heavy, but generally not bad.

leaparsons (10765) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2014
Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Dark brown with a firm cream head. Aromas are light roast and chocolate malts with a nutty, smoky character. Peat with dark treacle and mellow dark berries. Flavours are dry and earthy with roast coffee. Lemon that washes over the palate with a peppery finish. Good.

stravale (3145) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - NOV 24, 2014
Bottle from Carrington’s, Chorlton [241114]
Dark caramel brown, beige bubbly head that disispates
Aroma of roasted malts, soft burnt toast notes, dab of dark fruits
Taste of roasted malts, soft toasty malts, touch of dark fruits, soft yeasty, dab of dark toffee, fairly simple
Palate - Soft carb, medium light body, maybe a bot thin. Finish as main flavour, quite roasted, soft fairly sweet dark malts in background
Overall - Quite a nice porter, little thin and simple. Another one of these beers probably better on cask.

maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2013
Cask conditioned handpump St Aldates Tavern Oxford 19/10/13. A dark brown coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. Quite a simple porter. Smoky and dry with bits of fruit. Tasty but more a sweet malty dark bitter than a porter.

ManVsBeer (10946) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2013
