Cask @ The Excelsior, Liverpool. Copper-red, but more of the former, with a thin head. Quite sweet with berry fruit in its slightly sugary nose, with the same but less stated in its taste. SarkyNorthener (4621) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2014

GBBF. Light haze on this amber beer, little pale tan head. Light dry palate. Okay balance of mild malt and repressed English hops. Dry finish. Competent but dull.

Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is wood, some fruits, grass and mild grainy notes. Flavour is nectar, wood, mild nutty notes as well as some grainy and grassy notes.
Cask at GBBF 2012. A copper coloured bitter, this is quite a well balanced malty bitter. With the American name I was perhaps expecting more of a new wave (American) amber ale style, but this was a light but tasty sessionable English bitter. Not so much hop, more toffee and malt focused. cgarvieuk (24515) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2009
Cask at GBBF 2009 ... copper ...light toffee hop ... sweet musty fruity hop ... light tioffee. wyzzywyz22 (2108) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2008
Cask, Wirral Food and Drink festival. Ah said pay attention, boy ! Dark clear reddy colour with a medium creamyish white head. Fragrant hoppy aroma. Good balance of malt and fruit in the flavour with a nice dry bitter finish. A very drinkable bitter.
