33 cl bottle @ lusikka, BBE 08.11.2015olio (10169) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 25, 2013
Aroma has grass, vanilla, strong bourbon notes, some roastiness and hints of bready malt. Flavour has salty licorice, peat, vanilla, bourbon, woody and herbal notes. Too woody and too strong on bourbon and woody notes, but decent anyway.

Pours pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon notes, dark roasted malts, some dark chocolate and caramel, faint licorice notes too. Flavor of vanilla, dark malts, chocolate, mild cocoa notes, some sugar, tar and faint coffee notes. Nice creamy palate with a smooth chocolaty finish.

Pours a pitch black colour with a beige head. Aroma of strong bourbon, vanilla and caramel. Flavour of roasted malts, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, chocolate chip cookies and tar. Full bodied, oily smooth mouthfeel and a smooth, vanilla, bourbon finish. Well balanced and pleasant.
Bottle at Bruce’s, London - massive thanks to Jack. Pours deep brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Boozy dark fruits in the nose, some chocolate. Big sweet flavor, jammy dark fruits, some burnt wood, hints of vanilla, mellow roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth to finish, burnt wood, ripe and dried dark fruits, dark malts, bit of booze. Not bad overall. FatPhil (15975) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 19, 2013

Nice vanilla aroma. Classic bourbon, but not boozy bourbon. Some butter from the wood too. Lovely. Black, small ring head. Lovely smooth palate, sweet apple retronasals. Lovely sweet body, but not sugary. Nicely roasted, but no ashiness. Some dark choc in the finish. Gets a bit dryer in the palate later, but the aroma if anything improves. Delicious.
Bottled 33cl tasted at GB RAF. Slightly smoky nose. Beige lasting head. Dark brownish black color. Slightly sweet taste with some hints of vanilla. Also some sourness and hints of coffee. RexTalionis (3731) - FINLAND - JAN 26, 2013
Bottle 33 cl, BBE 08/11/2015. Pours dark reddish brown, thick creamy tan head. Licorice mostly in aroma at first with some oaky barrel whiskey notes coming through. Loads of vanilla in aroma too. Bitter chocolate, vanilla and some roasted coffee notes in aftertaste as well. Really smooth and scaringly easy to drink. Sweet bourbon notes in finish. One of the better imperial stouts that has come around lately. Hermod (7697) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 26, 2013

In a snifter for a treat. Nice bourbon hit, good depth, warmth coming through in the finish, that 4 months is optimum. Is it snowing outside? rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 25, 2013
