Bottle. Its a hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a creamy off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the orangey, citrusy side, with a little malty touch. Quite bitter on the palate, with oranges and pine cones. Full to medium body, semi-dry and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish with oranges. Straight forward and far from complex, but easy drinkable and quenching. 140228

Bottle 500ml (AbM)
Slightly hazy golden color, small steady white head, some lace. Pineapple, citrus, overriped fruits in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Pineapple, citrus, orange peel in the fruity but also a bit dry flavor. LIght lingering bitterness. Pleasant.

On tap at Euston Tap, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, metallic notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with metallic notes and a tangy hop content. Balanced decently but not overly thrilling.

Gravicask (PBBF2012, Fri)
Herbal grassy aroma. Rich orange, small brief head. Fairly aggressive bitterness, grassy, a bit astringent and grapefruity. Does have some sweetish malts though. Soft palate, carbonation low. Long grassy bitter finish. A pretty good old-fashined bitter bitter.

Cask at Barley Mo. It pours clear deep amber with a medium beige head. The nose is caramel, toast and candied peel, stewed orange. The taste is soft, caramel, orange, mandarine, apricot, marmalade, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Smooth and quaffable. Pretty tasty.

Cask, half pint, by hand-pump at Grove Inn. White head leaving dotted spots on the glass. Clear amber coloured body. Pine and floral hops to the nose. Citrus core to the taste profile followed by dry bitter fruity peels to the ending. Medium bodied. A refreshing thirst quencher, indeed (Huddersfield 09.07.2014).
