Pretty good pale. Good citrus aroma. Too bittered I think. And this is mr. Ibu speaking. Good starter for their excellent ipa.

500 ml bottle.
Pours a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a white small head. Aroma of biscuity malts, strong floral hops, citrus and mango. Flavour of strong floral hops, lemon juice, mango, biscuity malts, grass and dry hay. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a long lingering bitter finish. Refreshing. Great stuff.

(Bottle): Pours a hazy orange, white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, oranges and mandarin. Flavour is quite sweet, lots of malt with the tropical fruit and citrus fruits. Nice bitterness accompanies the lemon/grassy notes.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a creamy off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the orangey, citrusy side, with a little malty touch. Quite bitter on the palate, with oranges and pine cones. Full to medium body, semi-dry and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish with oranges. Straight forward and far from complex, but easy drinkable and quenching. 140228

Cask (Lady Greys, Newcastle) - Amber in colour. Melon, mango, grapefruit and a hint of glue (!) in the aroma. Hoppy, tangy and fruity taste with melon, grapefruit and pineapple detected.

Bottled. Copper coloured with some haze and a thick head of fine foam. Tropical fruit aromas and some pine too. Sweet tropical fruit in the mouth too, obviously hoppy, but the bitterness and dry finish aren’t overly astringent. Easy to drink and tasty, but a little simple.

This was an immensely likeable beer. It appeared hazy orange with a white head. Aromas of fresh grapefruit and orange peel hoppiness. Indeed, it smelled like a bit of toast spread thickly with Seville orange marmalade which was evident in both aroma and flavour. It seemed to be much more bitter than most English ales I have tasted (a good thing in no small measure), it was tart and refreshing and a bit of a treat. I was going to say it was like Thornbridge Jaipur, but it was better than that.

Bottle from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Amber pour with a white head. Lemon, fresh herb and pine aroma. Bitter citrus feel in the flavour. Long, bitter tang. Tasty.
