Cask at The Hanging Bat. Pours black, thick, long-lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate, light liquorice tang. Taste brings a light fruit sweetness, but mostly more chocolate. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Really very nice. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle. It pours a very dark brown body, clear-looking and with a small, dense, dark beige to light tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts and bonfire hints, with milk chocolate and a pleasant hoppy touch. It’s medium bodied and with a very soft carbonation level. Some licorice notes in the flavor, with roasted malts, bonfire and milk chocolate, and a nice hoppy bitterness in the back. Lasting roasted finish with piney and citrusy hops blending in. Sure a nice one, very tasteful and at the same time easy drinkable. 140816

Black with a tan head. Smells of deep roast, coffee and dark berries with chocolate. Medium roast with a dry berry finish. The smell is deeper than the taste. But nice nonetheless. MrTipple (6991) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2014
Aroma: toasted malts, light milk chocolate. Appearance: dark brown, no head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: getting quite sweet, milk chocolate, not too intense, light toward notes. Overall: very nice Sweet Stout, well balanced. Bottle from Waitrose, Bath. Davros (3338) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 3, 2014
Pours black with a small light tan head.
Nose shows roasted malt, cocoa, milk chocolate. Appetising.
Flavours follow along the same lines: dry roasted malt, cocoa and a little underlying sweetness from the lactose. Very easy-drinking stuff.
Body feels a little watery.
