September 14, 2015 at Tap East - handpull cask. Slightly hazy brassy pale gold with a smallish white frothy head. Golden ale aroma (grassy etc) but less sweet than many seem to be, some sharp C-hop bittering notes; taste follows, quite simple, very little alcohol, emerging fruity malt and a hint of fresh cereal grain. Airy, light a bit chewy and astringent, quite quick-finishing and crisp - well made and easy to drink. BTW I quite liked Tap East.

Cask at the Waterloo Tap. Straw coloured with a thin white head; fresh floral aroma with some glassy hops; crisp and dry in the mouth, a good thirst quencher; with fresh green hops, and a trace of white pepper to finish.

Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Leek. A clear deep golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon, some grass, a hint of grapefruit and herbal, floral hops. Taste of lemon and grassy hops up front and then pale malts, straw and herbal, floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, soft, herbal, floral hop bitterness in the finish. An easy drinking golden ale with soft malty flavours and fresh hops. I like it.
