4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy amber ale with a frothy head. Aroma is, unsurprisingly, strong hop but it has a tinge of citrus and possibly a sweeter fruit to it as well. Taste matches that though not as strong as you might expect from the scent, but it’s balanced nicely. There’s fruit in the finish but almost a toasty hint as well. Delicious.
500 ml bottle in Mud Dock, Bristol. Pours hazy amber with a thick, fine and lasting creamy head with lacing. Beautiful looking beer. Hoppy aroma of citrus, big hint of grapefruit. Hoppy, bitter and lasting taste, very nice. Very good IPA, it goes down very well. Rubin77 (2482) - Brussels / Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 24, 2017

Bottle at home. Orange and slightly cloudy with a thin white head. Strong aroma of marmalade and nettle hop. Initial sweetness leads to a bitterness which is somewhat harsh. More tangerine/orange fruit, stinky hop and sweet, syrupy malt. Bitter and astringent finish. Lots of flavour but a little unbalanced for me. john44 (3331) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2017
Draft Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Mar 2011 - Amber-Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous oily and grassy hops. 500ml bottle from Waitrose. Legacy rating.
Pours rich orange-amber with deep and lingering head. Aroma explodes with tropical fruits - passion fruit and pineapple in particular, with bags of resin underpinning it. Beautifully balanced but strongly defined in character, sweet biscuit to even out the great bitter hoppiness. Love it! Korcz (3389) - Warsaw, POLAND - DEC 3, 2016

Keg at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A hazy amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, strawberry, some orange, grapefruit, slight pine and subtle pineapple. Taste of orange, grapefruit, some pine, a hint of passion fruit, pineapple, slight toasted malts, burnt caramel and subtle red berries. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A long, dryish, piney and citrus hop bitterness in the finish. A very good take on an American IPA. A good amount of citrus and pine hop bitterness and sweet, caramel and toasted malts.
