Inspired by the amazing hoppy beers being brewed by American craft brewers this beer is heavily hopped, packing it with tropical fruit flavours and aromas. Pineapple, passion fruit & grapefruit are the dominant features of this beautiful amber ale, that has a big strong malt backbone to balance out all the hops.

500ml bottle. Pours dark copper with large foamy head. Light aroma with little depth. Nice heavy citrus hops followed by a little toffee malt and a substantial bitterness. Very high carbonation which makes it much harder to drink - very frothy and bloating, which is a shame for this very nice-tasting beer.

this is a great beer. Sweet aromatic hops and malts, it does taste lovely. fruity hops and very sweet , biscuit malts shine just as bright. is very sweet though and hardly bitter at all. i have a few to get through so notes to self will be edited

500 ml bottle in Mud Dock, Bristol. Pours hazy amber with a thick, fine and lasting creamy head with lacing. Beautiful looking beer. Hoppy aroma of citrus, big hint of grapefruit. Hoppy, bitter and lasting taste, very nice. Very good IPA, it goes down very well.

Bottle - strong fruity citrus aroma, golden amber, small carbonation giving small white head - soon dissipates. Good citrus tasting - easy drinking.

Bottle from Hops and Crafts Exeter . Pours deep gold with a frothy off white head. Aroma of spicy hop ,pine, pineapple marmalade, pepper, tangerine, lemon ,grapefruit with some bready malt & caramel. Taste is more spicy, peppery hop with lemon, tangerine, sweet grapefruit, melon & balancing malt ,light caramel/ toffee & some bread. Good mouthfeel medium bodied & nicely carbonated. The finish is bitter, dry with more spicy hop, pepper, marmalade & biscuit, bread & caramel from the malt . A nice beer thou not fresh , about 6months old , I have had fresher examples before & they have been more outstanding.

Cask @ Rumsey Wells. Golden with a small white head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, fruit and britternes. Medium body with a long bitter / fruity finish.

Bottle at home. Orange and slightly cloudy with a thin white head. Strong aroma of marmalade and nettle hop. Initial sweetness leads to a bitterness which is somewhat harsh. More tangerine/orange fruit, stinky hop and sweet, syrupy malt. Bitter and astringent finish. Lots of flavour but a little unbalanced for me.

Draft Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Mar 2011 - Amber-Gold in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous oily and grassy hops. Very Fruity; bitter grapefruit citrus and tropical fruit flavours; tangy and juicy. Malty backbone; toasty biscuity malts, caramel. Bitter citrus fruity and hoppy throughout. Nice IPA! (2011-03-07)

BeerNinjaUK (488) - Wiltshire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2017
500ml bottle from Waitrose. Legacy rating. Pours rich orange-amber with deep and lingering head. Aroma explodes with tropical fruits - passion fruit and pineapple in particular, with bags of resin underpinning it. Beautifully balanced but strongly defined in character, sweet biscuit to even out the great bitter hoppiness. Love it!
