Cask @ Urban Tap House, Cardiff. Dark gold with a big creamy head. Aroma is a bit shy but comes out eventually: lemon and birchwood with a bit of autumn leaves. The Goldings really come out in the aroma. Moreish taste of bittersweet followed by an almost vegetable umami. Tasty. Nice full body for a golden cask ale. Everards, Charlie Wells, GK et al: thus us how you do it.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. A dour gold coloured ale with a creamy head. A touch dry, it has a breaded character, some grain and biscuit, not high on flavour with a small hop evident in its nose.

Beese (2595) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 9, 2013
Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear, dark golden colour with a thin, rocky white head. Aroma of orange peal, spice and citrus. Sharp citrus flavours balanced with some chewy malt and peach sweetness. Palate was balanced grain, grassy hop and caramel. Perfectly drinkable, but nothing mind blowing.

Cask at the Grain Barge, Bristol. Supped, appropriately, on the upper deck of this pub on a boat, in the beating sun, whilst playing dominoes. A slightly plain Golden this, with cornfield hops and a smidge of cheese.
