UPDATED: SEP 25, 2017 I love Bristol Beer Factory, their Southville Hop and Milk Stout are world class. I came into this without thinking about previous knowledge. It is Jet Black. This is probably one of the darkest stouts I have seen. I had to pour it hard to get a half finger head which didn't last long and dissipated into a thin film. It smells very boozy at 7.5%, smells very peaty with wood and chocolate following up, there is a bit of raisin and dark fruit lingering at the back. Soon as you take a zip sip you are hit with sourness and peat. So much so it is unenjoyable. There is not many beers I have poured down there drain but this one I did. avoid! Keg at Casc. Pours a jet black with a toffee head that fades. Aromas of chocolate, treacle and a slight smoked ham tinge. Flavour is chocolate, plums, hazelnuts and coffee. Slight bitter alcohol tinge at the end. john44 (3454) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2017
Draft Half Pint at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London in Mar 2011 - Black in colour. Very Malty; roasty malts, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, caramel. Fruity; dark fruits. Hoppy. Roast malty, slightly sweet, throughout. Smooth; very drinkable. Surprisingly easy drinking; although 7.7% it doesn’t attempt to be an Imperial Stout. Enjoyed this a lot. Nice Stout! (2011-03-07)

500 ml bottle conditioned, from Ales by Mail. ABV is 7.5%. Black colour, small tan head. Strong roasty aroma, roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate. The same elements in the flavour too, also liquorice and hints of dark dried fruits, a moderate sweetness, decent hops. Very good beer. Rasmus40 (22128) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 9, 2016

Bouteille 50cl, de et partagée avec Pierre. BB 15.10.2016. Batch# 1807.
Christian (13923) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2016
Near black with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice and coffee, with nice fruity notes. Sweetish fruity and roasted flavour with a lightly burned aftertaste. gegwilson (3827) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 10, 2016
Bottle from Favourite Beers, Cheltenham. Deep mahogany, almost black with a frothy beige head. Lovely chocolate pudding aroma. The taste is also chocolate pudding with a hint of liquorice and pppery spice. Creamy mouthfeel. Lovely stout. Lovecrash42 (12) - Cardiff, WALES - JAN 2, 2016
Snagged a bottle from Gravity Station in Cardiff. Choclatey aroma, a bit roasted. A bit of molasses coffee taste.
Thinner than expected, but thick enough to be a stout.
Overall good as a go-to stout while out. jamestulloch (4415) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 29, 2015
Bottle. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of berries, roasted malt and soy sauce. Flavour of dark chocolate, cloves, treacle and Marmite. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Not quite as complex and drinkable as I’d hoped it would be.
