Cask at the Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Clear darkish amber beer. A little suddy pale tan head. Light dry palate. Light malty base. okay tangy dried fruit hops. Quite a bitter finish. Not bad but the brewery can do much more exciting beers than this.
Cask, The Sheffield Tap, Sheffield. Orange copper appearance. Spiced caramel aroma. Caramel and clove cones out. Spiced finish. Fin (10746) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 31, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2012 Cask, gravity at the Orchard Inn, Bristol 27.12.11 Dark brown in colour with a wonderful aroma of burnt toast. Fruity with a little sourness in the mouth, tangy and with middling bitterness. This is ok but I feel that it may be a little past its best. A7 A3 T5 P2 Ov11 2.8 Had this again on Cask, handpump at The Grain Barge, Bristol, 28.01.12 Pours mid brown with a white head. This is a little hoppy and a much better beer than I had when tried last month however it still comes up short when tried alongside the Southville Hop even despite the latter being sampled in bottle. The hops are a little underwhelming, lacks a bit of zap and bite but its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1 Beersiveknown (5301) - NORTHERN IRELAND - DEC 30, 2011

Ruby brown with blackberry nose. Light citrus up front with robust bitterness.
Cask conditioned Handpump Cask & Kitchen London. A chestnut coloured beer with a whitish head. A slim aroma but there are coffee notes in there. Same in the mouth. Husky malts and hints of fruit. Pretty tasty. Definitely malty rather than hoppy which was a surprise. Nice enough.

Cask-condtioned at the Eldon House, Bristol 10/12/11. Ruddy brown in colour with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, berry fruits and some leafy hops. Flavour also began with some sweetness, before more fruit some nuttiness and a lingering bitter finish. Enjoyable.
