ALLOVATE (3103) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 21, 2014
The picture of health in the glass. Settles a tawny, deep chestnut and radiant before the yeast goes in. Well conditioned with fine carbonation and a lofty, creamy off-white foam that holds and weaves a spotty lace. Resinous and herbaceous hops dominate the nose; fresh and bright. A little nutty praline, creaming soda and timber varnish resides underneath. Creamy and full on the palate. Meaty, chewy malts and rough and rugged hops give it plenty of oomph. It is dry in the back with a nut-husk/pine-needle, dusty finish. Long and residually hoppy, herbal and rough with a pleasant, peaking bitterness that yields a little bitter orange peel. Lapped by citrus, but more of dried peel than fruit esters, it sits in well with the hefty malt profile. Nutty, woody, raw pine, saw-dust, grain husks, light biscuit and wheat ears - has it all in weirdly extravagant measures. It is quenching, refreshing and amazingly balanced for an ale of such assertive flavours. Goes down oh so easily. Great stuff. One to fill a fridge with for summer! Bottle - Light sweet hops and sweet dark malts. Clearish red brown with a rich beige head. Light peppery notes, spicy hops and and a long light bitterness. Finishes dry and is pretty decent. Davros (3363) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 24, 2014
Pours copper with a large mousse-like head.
Nose shows toasty and nutty malt along with some caramel followed by some resinous hops and apple notes.
Less malt-focussed flavours although there’s still some toasty notes. More emphasis on the piny, spicy and earthy hops. Very aggressive bitterness in the finish.
Carbonation is over the top. Stuu666 (15790) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 22, 2014
Bottle at home. Pours copper red, dry toffee, juicy fruit, pine, malty, sweet, nice. mt_hall (213) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2014
Bottled. Ruby-copper colour with the slightest haze and virtually no head. Aromas are floral and malt. Dry floral flavours with a good malt body behind. A slightly thin start, but then develops in the mouth. Good.

Large and lasting off-white head on a clear deep red body. Hops on the aroma but not so much in the taste, a little bit of caramel notes coming through, pleasant bitterness. ComradeK (1281) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUN 3, 2014
500ml bottle. Pours a hazy ruby amber, with a very large off-white head, which lasts very well and leaves good lacing. Spruce and spice hops notes mix with toffee malt to create the aroma. Prickling spruce and floral hops up front lead into a smooth, malty body, with plenty of toffee and some candied fruit notes. Spruce hops reappear in the finish. This is a solidly enjoyable amber ale, with just the right balance of hops and malt. gam (4188) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 30, 2014

Pours an opaque crimson with a good looking thick tan head. The aroma and taste is more piney than fruity, with a caramel finish. Unfortunately, it is also very bitter. The bitterness haunts my palate like a specter. Sarpa (1692) - FINLAND - MAY 14, 2014
50cl bottle from AbM @ home. Pours hazy dark red with a huge beige head. Citrus hops, caramel in the aroma. Caramel and fruity hops in the flavor.
