Meet our Belgian Dubbel: A frothy marriage of deep, caramelized richness, fruity undertones, and the lush complexity that bottle conditioning brings. Gezondheid! The magic of brewing lies in the art and alchemy of conjuring beautiful flavors from humble ingredients. This is especially true with Belgian beers. To our way of thinking, creating a proper Belgian requires a dedication to using worthy ingredients, traditional methods, and a bit of of that monk-ish breeding prowess that only an artisan can bring to the kettle. The result, we think youll agree, is sublime.

750 c&c from LetsPour.com. Pours very hazy orange amber with a off-white head. Aroma is caramel with some rather pungent dark fruit. Full bodied or nearly so. Flavor is smooth dark caramel with moderately dark fruit - it is much closer to dry than sweet. For some reason it seems a little boozy. Think Im picking up a very little metallic aspect. Overall a nice drink.

Bottle courtesy of Brandon. Thanks! Dark red orange appearance with an off white head. Toasty, caramel-toffee, a touch roasty-burnt, slightly belgian aroma. Slightly burnt-toasty, toffee, mild caramel malty, slightly belgian flavor. Im pretty disappointed.

Pours hazy reddish with lacing white head, bottle thanks to Brandon. Aroma has notes of some slight caramel, spice, some sour grain, touch of biscuit. Taste is an interesting combination of spice, nuts, some slight caramel, toffee, some slight earth notes, finishing bitter and slightly dry. Not bad.

Very light amber, with a big fluffy head. Smelled like fresh morning dew, with light cocoa notes. Taste profile hits fresh, with light brown malt, caramel, and tart fruity yeast tones. Light and refreshing, but flavorful; like an assertive dunkel. Pretty eccentric.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), with notes of gum, alcohol, and lemon juice. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Not much going on in the aroma, but its ok. Kinda sour and overly sweet in the mouth. Overall average.

Turbid reddish pour - pretty fizzy, but doesnt kick up too much of a head - aroma has some odd meaty/smoky phenols, yeasty/doughy character, very mild esters - flavor is slightly nutty, with quite a bit of the same smoke/meatiness from the nose - light acidity - nothing all that dubbelish about it, but I guess it isnt terrible.
