Pour is clear orange with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some slight soapy hops with a touch of grass, vanilla as well. Taste is a bit sweet, caramel and grainy malts up front, some vanilla, touch of grass, finishing fairly sweet but dry. Fizzy, watery and overcarbonated as well. shaun1212 (7) - St Peters, Missouri, USA - JUN 18, 2012 does not count
Sessionable with woody malty notes. Not too sweet. Well balanced amber ale. Enjoyable on a hot day. berrya785 (441) - Kansas, USA - JUN 10, 2012
Aroma is malts and caramel. Pours dark gold with a white head. Taste is malty and grainy. Good beer. onceblind (9662) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Tap at brewery. Clear light amber, almost has a honey-like hue. Great little aroma of toffee covered cereal grains, burnt caramel, garlic toast, and slightly herbal hoppiness. Taste is smooth and nuanced and sweet, like an amber needs to be. Caramel, toast, mild herbal bitterness, sweet yet balanced to drink. Bit of toffee throughout, and perhaps some "German-ness" in the malt as well. tennessejed420 (940) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 9, 2011
bottle pours a golden reddish color with minimal grey head. Aroma of light caramel, some bark. Balanced flavor, lightly hopped on the finish. Caramel and some nutty flavors. Not a bad session.

Draft @ taproom. Clear copper to amber, warm color, nice lacing. Nutty malt aromas and flavors. Finishing balanced with good malt character. Caramel malts predominate, but finishes crisp with a nice aftertaste. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 4, 2011
Amber and slightly hazy. This has a light caramel nose. Slightly earthy, bready with fresh cracked malt. Not bad for the usual amber thing. danfosha (51) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUL 31, 2011
From the bottle, medium lacing, white foam. Aroma of toast and malt. Some sweetness, light bitterness, faint hints of spice, maybe cinnamon, maybe something savory and herbal, can’t quite place it. RobertDale (6474) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUL 16, 2011
12 ounce bottle. Pours a fairly clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is malt and yeast with a hint of hops. Smooth and easy to drink. Decent. nuplastikk (6275) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 6, 2011
12oz bottle. Murky, unfiltered orange-brown. Creamy, steady head. Mellow aroma. Smooth and malty, a little underwhelming. Pretty sessionable, with a watery mouthfeel. Mild hop balance, not much bitterness. Malt centered, standard fare. Inoffensive, drinkable.
