Amber and slightly hazy. This has a light caramel nose. Slightly earthy, bready with fresh cracked malt. Not bad for the usual amber thing.

hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2005
Poured a light to medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. I’m not getting any strong aromas but what I do detect are ice tea, flowers and caramel. Tastes of cookie dough, caramel and citrus. Thinner body.

Bottle at James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Sweet grain, toast and a bit of hops on the nose. Medium bodied, a bit grainy, toast with some light malt. Toast and some light earthiness. Finishes lightly bitter. Decent enough.

DuffMan (10433) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 5, 2008
Hazy orange amber pour. Moderate head that is rather short lived. Very toasty malty aroma with a soft berry fruit undertone. Beautifully malty. Toasty bread crusts and dark caramel with a subtle sweet stewed fruit note and low bitterness. There is some quality malt in this beer that is the star performer so hop heads may not be very impressed. I loved it.

Tap at brewery. Clear light amber, almost has a honey-like hue. Great little aroma of toffee covered cereal grains, burnt caramel, garlic toast, and slightly herbal hoppiness. Taste is smooth and nuanced and sweet, like an amber needs to be. Caramel, toast, mild herbal bitterness, sweet yet balanced to drink. Bit of toffee throughout, and perhaps some "German-ness" in the malt as well.
