UPDATED: NOV 11, 2017 Bottle. Caramel malt aroma with notes of grainy malt, earthy and grassy hops. Pours clear copper colored with one finger of off white head that has excellent retention but little lacing. Starts with caramel and grainy malt flavors. Finishes smooth with earthy and grassy hops with a hint of bitterness. Decent.
10/4/13: Tap at powers old Chicago, COS. Malty aroma with a bit of caramel and earthy hops. Pours copper colored with a medium, white head. Caramel malt sweetness to start followed by a dry, earthy, hoppy finish.

12oz bottle poured a clear amber hue w/ avg white frothy mostly diminishing head and good lacing. Mild aroma of cookie, straw, carmel, and butterscotch. Taste is light sweet front to finish. Flavor of straw and carmel. Light to medium body, oily texture, and soft carbonation. Not complex, but a very drinkable Octoberfest malty brew. On tap at Old Chicago Colorado Springs, part of the octoberfest mini tour 2012. Color is a hazy gold with good carbonation and a thick head. Aroma is a faint spicy hop scent. It has a lighter medium body with a light crisp mouth feel. Flavor of grain that leans on corn then a mild hop citrus and a hint of pepper. After taste is a mild bitterness and a clean feel. Drank in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small white head. A nice toasted malt nose with some chocolate. The flavor is a sweet and easy Vienna with toasted malts, some light dusty leaves, caramel. Good.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a touch hazy, copper, burnt orange appearance with a light brown head. Pretty tame, light caramel, herbal, straw, a touch spicy, but boring aroma. Somewhat spicy, grassy hoppy, toasty malty, kind of watery, uninspired flavor. Not offensive and not overly hard to drink, but there’s just not a ton going on. Head is initially small, frothy/fizzy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), lightly hoppy (apricot).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.
Simple, overly sweet, syrupy, very beginner-homebrew-like.
