Bottle via a trade with jbye4334. Pours with a large white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma is a fresh hand full of hops. Citrus and some light crystal. Taste is hoppy, honey and citrus. Medium bubbles. A solid pale ale. Cletus (6351) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 28, 2010
Bottle courtesy of jbye4334. Pours a hazy orangish mahogany with a large off white head. Smells of starwberries, citrus, tarte, some vinegar. Tastes of pepper, dry malt, floral notes, citrus. Peppery finish. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 17, 2002
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2004 Smooth and soft mouthfeel. Malts had elements of caramel, cookie dough and toast. Nice hop aromas and some balancing bitterness. Well balanced beer. More like an English bitter than an American Pale Ale. Pretty easy to drink; nice session beer. PhillyBeer2112 (2942) - Oviedo, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2002
Seriously intense hop aroma: grassy, piney, fresh herbs, a little cannabis. Dark copper color with small head, quickly dissipating, with decent lace. Clean light malt is prominent in the flavor, hop flavors are subdued, finishing lightly bitter and dry with a note of honey. Very light carbonation and surprisingly light body, giving it a little too watery a mouthfeel. BeerLimey (2155) - California, USA - JUL 17, 2004
Clouded amber hue, decent head formation. Baked bread, yeasty malty aroma. Sweet malty, bready with dark fruit flavor. Mild bitterness in the finish but subdued by the heavy malt content. Fairly unique take on a much cloned style.

In the bottle at the 2004 Crescent Moon Vintage Beer Tasting. Nice! A great example of the style. Red amber in color. Very hoppy. I love visiting this brewpub as the folks there are super nice. I hope to get back there soon and rate all their beers. Terminus (3742) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 15, 2004
tap at brewery-pours a light copper hue with minimal white head. piney hop aroma but not the basic cascade note thing going. slighty green and earthy hop flavors and nice toasty malts make presence in the flavors. More an ESB than a pale ale. Nice refreshing body that has a very clean finish. nice pale ale! jcwattsrugger (12579) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - SEP 28, 2005
on tap-pours a thin off white head, color is clear amber. Aroma is hops. Taste is hop & malty, a nice balance. This was one of Bristol’s better beers. Moonlight77 (10) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2006
Solid if not a bit middle of the road. Sweet start but finishes with decent amount of hoppy liveliness. aracauna (3734) - Georgia, USA - DEC 21, 2006
Pours a copper body with a good head. Pithy, piney hop aroma fills out the aroma. A bit of pale malt flavor in there as well. Not bad. Will suffice in a hop jones.
