Our upcoming summer seasonal is not your father’s pilsner. Bright gold in color, this pilsner harkens back to its true European origins with a flavor that’s light and refreshing, yet absolutely memorable. German pilsen barley lends a traditional malt component, while fine Czech and German hops add a nice snap. On June 8, the beer will be released in bottles and distributed on tap throughout Colorado.

Of the Sampler Pak I bought in Ft. Collins, this was my favorite beer. Classic Pilsner taste, clean and crisp, very drinkable. Started as well as it finished. I would stock this beer in my cellar. I enjoyed this one very much!!!

Bottle. Biscuity malt aroma with honey malt, grassy and floral hops. Pours pale, cloudy golden colored with a thin white head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with biscuit and honey malt flavors. Finishes dry, crisp and pretty refreshing with grassy and floral hop flavors with a hint of hop bitterness at the end. Pretty nice pils.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained white head, with light lacing, over a slightly hazy effervescent, yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is Pils malts with light corn, no esters, moderate hop spice, balance to the hops.....taste is light malts, with mild corn, moderate hop spice tones, finishing bitter, dry throughout, no esters....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a clean, refreshing, nicely done beer. The bitterness is a bit low for the style, and the use of more hops would correct. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

12 oz via bottle at the White Water Bar & Grill in Cañon City. Aroma of toasted grain and light spicy hops. Similar flavor, adding mild bitterness with a crisp feel and ample carbonation. OK.

DYCSoccer17 (3708) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 15, 2016
16 ounce sample on tap at The Broadmoor Hotel. Faint aroma with light cereal and biscuit malt sweetness. Hops are really not evident. Transparent yellow body with a medium, fizzy white head. Starts with a little fruitiness. Becomes a little cereal like in the middle with some malts. Finishes with herbal, grassy, moderate hop bitterness. Meh.

From the bottle, at the volunteer meet and greet for the Feast of Saint Arnold. Pretty nice nose of grains, white sugar, juniper, and resin. Sweet, with a light bitterness. Light to medium body, crisp, grainy, and bright. This is a fun, overly sweet pils.

snoworsummer (6057) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 11, 2015
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear pale gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like pale malts, corn, citrus hops, and musky grains. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like sweet corn, citrus hops, and a hint of vinegar.

DocJitsu (2035) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with a white ring around the too edge. Light notes of fermenting corn. Fuller, softer mouthfeel than I expected. Plenty of scrubbiness from the carbination. Corn, honey, and pilsner bitterness.

Sledutah (7831) - Utah, USA - JUN 29, 2013
12oz bottle picked up at Wilburs in Fort Collins
Clear straw yellow with a medium sized white head and good lacing. Aroma of pils malts, grains and honey. Flavors of pils malts, wheat and grains

UncleKorm (1337) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 11, 2012
A light grain hay aroma, pours clear yellow with a mostly diminishing white head light sweet initial flavor with faint bitter finish of short duration. Light to medium body. A refreshing pils.

Terminus (3716) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Tap at brewpub may 2012-pours very pale yellow with a small soapy white head. nose of sulfur and mushy grains. flavors of pale grain husks, sulfur and lite spicy hops. not much going on here-more of a pale lager than a pils. meh.
