1,89 litre growler, dark brown color, with a beige head, mild cocoa powder, chocolate cake, grind roasted coffee bean nose with some soft grainy roasted, chocolate, toasted malt, brownie accents, within a dark bitter chocolate aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice smooth chocolate cake, cocoa powder, roasted coffee bean, cappuccino, dark bitter chocolate, burnt toast character, with some roasted, black, chocolate, toasted malty flavours, with a faint flowery leafy hop, chocolate praline undertone, leading towards a chocolatey, roasty bitterness finish.

Clean looking dark brown with tan head. Roasted aroma a little sugary. The palate is okay a little too light for my personal taste but it is okay. Finished with a light bitter. I would acquire this again.

Canned, from LCBO, Ottawa. Black with rich beige head. Licorice and coffee up front. Mid dry with light-medium body and well rounded moutheel. Café au Lait with aniseed and caramel. Mid bitter finish. Creamy and nicely drinkable.

Despite the comments below, my can poured limper than....me at the sight of Kellyanne Conway. Nose is sweet and toasty, charcoal, chocolate and dark fruity. Taste is more on the sweet side, lightly mineral, slightly watery. Mild burnt grain bitterness. Drinkable. I'm Ron Burgundy? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This stout poured a deep black colour with a light brown head. Little lacing. Scents include caramel, molasses, toast and coffee. First swig had a slight watery mouthfeel but delicious flavour. Tastes of coffee, caramel and burnt toast. Finish is nice and burnt with coffee flavour lingering. Delicious! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned. Black body, medium large brown head. The aroma has ginger, cookies, smoke. The taste is syrupy, and very chocolatey.

473 ml bottle. Black, with a thin tan head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malt and coffee. The flavour is roasted malty, with sweetish chocolate and (especially in the finish) coffee. Decent stuff.

Frothmeister (792) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 22, 2016
473ml can. Pours black with a tan head. On the nose, roasty malt with light ash, faint cocoa, and earthy notes. Thin bodied with light sweetness, dark roast coffee, dark malty notes, light molasses, a bit of dried fruit with light minerality that heads into watery notes that largely mirror the front but with a little more of the dark coffee, and sweetness in the finish. It’s lighter bodied than I was expecting, but it’s totally solid, and pretty darn easy drinking.
