HopsandBolts (258) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 17, 2014
On tap at the Atomic Rooster.
Appearance: Pours an amber brown with a bit of tan head.
Aroma: Tobacco, malt, straw.
Flavours: Malt, tobacco, caramel, bit of hops.
Mouthfeel: Thin with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This one has this really odd tobacco aroma and flavour I usually only get with Spanish Riojas but it balances out with the malt to make this one an interesting Brown Ale. Not sure I would want a second one but it is definitely worth a try. cfrancis (3456) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2014
Pours brown with a small white head. Aroma is nutty and caramel. Taste starts with the nut, continues with some nice hop to round out the taste with some caramel malt notes. On tap at Smoke Shack czar (9094) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 30, 2013
clear dark amber reddish with a small light beige head, some retention and lacing. caramel, perfumey fruity malts, although quite fainted, peppery, earthy, grassy, kind of a nutty feeling i guess with few mineral-metal notes. moderate carbonation - a bit fizzy, light body - watery, grassy-peppery finish. meh. solidfunk (8965) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Pours fairly red for a brown ale. This one misses the mark a little. Ok head and lacing. Faint hint of roast malt here but aroma and palate are very light here. Finishes with very light bitterness. Tap at Black Tomato. asheft (3083) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2013
On tap at Corner Bar, Westboro. Nutty and dried fruit aroma with some faint oxidation. Clear chestnut under a thin off white cover. Dry nut flavour with dried fruit and a medium bitterness. Medium light body, moderate carbonation, faint lingering bitterness.

A dark brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, smooth nutty malt with light herbal notes, OK. In mouth, a herbaceous nutty malt with faint hops, a bit pedestrian. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Jan 2 2013. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2012
Cask at Cat. Deep brown, no head. Nice roasty malts, a little root beer character. Medium body, nearly flat (cask). Light roasted malts, a touch fruity, light cola or root beer herbals, leafy hops; dry with fair bitterness and a pleasant roast finish. pushkinwow (2793) - Ottawa, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
On cask at Arrow and Loon but labelled as "Easy on the Nuts Brown". Dark brown with a creamy biege head. Little nutty, roasted and semi-sweet malts, some caramel. Mild carbonation, light body, becomes dry and more sweet on the finish.
