On tap at Brouhaha, hazy honey golden hue, with a white head, nice spicy oregano nose, with a hint of fruity yeastiness, with a herbal flower petal of lavender and lily of the valley, pizza dough aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, bubblegum reminiscent of chewing gum trills, fruity, strong oregano spiced character, with a flowery leafy, minty hop accent, and a slight oily pizza dough undertone, leading towards a strong still oregano, lingering dry leafy hop bittering finish.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Pours a hazy, beautiful, glowing orange with a rocky, white head leaving okay lace. Aroma is 100% fresh baking oregano plus some fresh dough. Taste is dry, bitter, huge oregano, oregano on salad with mint, olive oil, and lemon. Very interesting and quite the hilarious experience. Tart body overall. Dry, pizza spice aftertaste. Fizzy, thin palate.

Draft. Medium off-white head atop murky amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, oregano, orange/grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, light oregano. Light-medium body. A decent APA with the oddity of oregano added.

A hazy golden ale with a thick lacing and froathy off white head. In aroma, nice oregano, pizza dressing, oils, interesting. In mouth, a smooth crisp malt with nice touches of herbs, oregano, light grass and good hopping. On tap at Octoberfest des Quebecois, Sept. 12 2010.

Draught at Churchkey. I was warned by the barstaff. I should have listened. This one is a glass of oregano with very subtle hints of beer. For a beer that has hints of oregano, try Fantome’s Fleur de Bomal instead.

Sample at Chambly fest.
Appearance : Hazy yellow. Lots lacing.
Aroma : Lots and lots of oregano. Very herbal. Not much else.
Taste : Nice malt, lots of oregano. Lots of oregano on the finish.
Overall : Very special beer. This is pretty much all oregano. Very interesting and surprisingly good.

(Rating #3245)
