Pours hazy blond/white with high white head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is of green apples, wheat. Taste is of green apples, wheat. Overall: Very drinkable. Nice apple features. Refreshing. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 4, 2010
Interesting aroma of green apples, bananas and bubble-gum. Pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head. Good flavor of bananas, green apples and bubble-gum. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. This is roughly an apple hefe-weizen, it’s sounds a bit weird, but it’s quite interesting. Crisp apple crumble aroma feels fresh, lightly bready and actually inviting. While the idea of an apple beer does not really appeal to me, I must confess that this is well done indeed. The wheat is fresh (base beer is a hefeweizen), bready and the carbonation is bubbly (though the head diminishes quite quickly from the very opaque golden shade) and the apple flavours never really abuse on the juicy sweetness.

My Bottom Line:
Juicy green apples greet their nearly citrusy siblings, as doughy yeast dabs this half-Weizen, half Fruit Beer.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the cloudy pale yellow.
-The mouthfeel is healthy and conducive to easy drinking.
-This is as cleanly brewed as any other Broadway beer.
-Although there is not much complexity to be investigated (that was probably not the point of this beer anyway), one cannot help but be impressed by the use of the fresh apple juice here and its balance with the Weizen base.
