Draught. Mondiale 2009 - day 3. Hazy amber pour, with a small but lasting white head. Wow factor in that aroma - strong sweet grain malt, dry, almost tannic wood resin, damn, it’s MUSTY but still fruity and yeasty, mid-level alcohol, and orange zest - himmel gott that pushed my nose buttons (oh, shut up). Tasted of orange peel, raisins, alcohol, old barnboard (dry, dusty, most of the resin leeched out of it), and amazingly, I got a real punch of roasted fresh-shelled pecans. Slick, lively, boozy mouthfeel, with lingering fruity acidity too - just terrific .... no idea what the hell it was, but I loved it.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2012 updated rating originally rated @ bieres et saveurs past year. Bottle bought at grand-duc for 7.99. A: wild, it’s vinous! a complex spice bouquet and a touch of vanilla and some cherries. Brett character. App: clear copper huge white head. t/p: thin body with acidic but short finish. a bit of hotness from the alcohol. it’s fizzy. O: Great even better than last year. Well worth the money imho. A little more acidity would be welcome but it’s already pretty solid.

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2012 Bottle 330 ml. The aroma is quite impressive: red wine, yeast, oak, red fruits, bret (?), malt and lemon. Taste is kind of sour, well balanced with an acid finish. Good carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Some pleasant warming alcohol. Impressive!

Lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is dry. Warming alcohol. Complex, balanced and enjoyable. Very nice surprise by Broadway Pub, a great beer!

330 ml bottle. Pours an orange-yellow foggy golden with a short-lasting white head. Smells like oranges, grapes and wine. Tastes like sour grapes, yeast, sweetbread and spices. Very pronounced acidity, along with a good dose of earthy bitterness. Medium bodied. Nice experience, but at its price, this is probably the last time I have it...

Stoned99 (1533) - St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 14, 2015
500ml bottle from Bières et Délices. July 2015 bottle. 8%. Aroma: sour cherries, orange blood, green apples. App: hazy golden, small white head, creamy on the sides and middle. Awesome thick lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, fruity, medium high carbonation, vinous, medium sweetness, light acidity finish. Overall: great! We can taste the Belgian signature but aged in red wine barrels which give it a nice vinous touch. Really liked it. Maybe would have liked a bit less carbonation which prevents us from detecting every goodness in this beer but still, this is awesome. Great job BW!
